I like the mod that said "try to stay classy". Not "don't go there" or "clean up your act" or whatever. Just "TRY to stay classy" because he knew they could not  ;)

At least some of them said we earned it and I tip my hat to them.

Me, too ... those are the people of character and integrity.

There are always the odd few who talk nasty and without class. Someone mentioned KG lucky not to break Dwight Elbow´s hand (twice) but he was just frustrated by the lack of calls being called on Orlando´s big man throughout the series. Having seen most of the games vs. Orlando, I think much less of Dwight´s game than before. He cant shoot and 99% of his baskets are from dunks because he can jump. Also, the refs favour him way too much, so much that it goes close to being as ridiculous as with LeBron.
Well done, Celtics!  I hope Nate Robinson have opened Doc´s eyes for some extra minutes vs. PHOENIX!

Exactly what I thought, Bahku. That statement was so classless. Interesting to read, though. My family is from Orlando and I'm sure glad we left.  :D

is this guy serious

lol?

wow. there is some real anger there. some of the posters showed class and loyalty. but mostly it was hate, profanity, and childishness by too many of them.

after seeing that blog i appreciate the level of debate and civility here at cb even more.

thank all you fellow cbers for having both passion and class.

now...... on to the finals.  ;D
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

I think a lot of their fan base is as young as their team.

boston exposed this team which has some weaknesses.

Howard is a beast, but he is also allowed to be dirty which I didn't like.  he can't shoot foul shots.

Lewis is a 6"10" perimeter player with a great shot but no penetration and weak inside.

Carter is a poser as a superstar.  To small for his position.

Nelson is sreaky and is shoot first little guy.

Barnes is not the defensive stopper they think he is.

J.J impressed me the most.  Can we get him?  The little pest.

This team has some issues and will not win next year until they are adressed.

I hope Boston wins so we can see them stay intact.  We got a decent draft pick coming and with Danny's track record I like it.

Whatever team Lebron joins Orlando will struggle against.

Their fans are bitter reality is not what they thought.

Did you notice his "injury" with 3 minutes left?  Orlando fans are calling the C's injury fakers, but Vinsanity is the biggest injury faker in the history of the game.

I have to agree (in living here also) that they are not the most educated group, but they REALLY do love their basketball team. For a small market, they have done very well- especially in FL (see Florida Marlins, Jacksonville Jaguars, Miami Heat, even TB Rays don't come close to selling out).

I understand their frustration and they may not know how to express themseleves in the best way, but I appreciate the fact that they really back their team- and it makes it WAY more fun to be a Boston fan right now.

Wow ... talk about bitter! Some guy wanted to punch his girlfriend cuz he hates the C's fanbase so much! Those folks are the definition of "poor sports" ... man! And NO class whatsoever!
Sounds similar to here except their mods don't keep it as tasteful as ours do.

We see the same bitter reactions here when we lose, along with some gracious posts, as we also see there.

I do love how hurt they are by the chants of the Boston fans. Some even put the game on mute. It is funny when fans have anger issues like that.

I am particularly entertained by the posts blaming Stern. Predictable.

I disagree, actually.  In the Celtics fanbase as a whole, you're probably correct regarding what the reaction to losing would be.  However, looking at our threads after the Game 7 loss last year, fans on Celticsblog actually kept things pretty grounded.

Furthermore, that was just posters on one blog.  We've seen some pretty solid Orlando fans visit CBlog during the course of the conference finals.  Stood up for their team but did it without getting nasty.

TP - RH... that thread really shows a lot of class. I would say that happens on this board because of the effort the mods put in to keep it clean. There are plenty of instances where I find that annoying, but the net result is a board that's much more enjoyable than a wild wild west type spot.
