Great now can we get the half of the game where we were robbed of our best low post defender back?

Well, nice to see they got something right the next day. Doesn't change the fact that Perk, our best one-on-one post defender was taken out of the game for the entire second half on two dubious calls. This is not why we lost the game, bad D, not closing out the three-point line, and much more, but it certainly didn't help.

However, you have to wonder, if we had Perk (and his fouls) left, would a couple of the runs we made that cut it to 6 or 8 have turned into ties because the C's would've felt they could actually play full speed, rather than holding back?

This is what drives me nuts.  The league has changed so many calls after the game in the last 3 years, that could have dramatically affected the outcome of the game.  I think the exact same thing happened to Artest last season, where he was thrown out of the game, his team lost, and then the league rescinded the tech after the fact.  And then they never acknowledge that there was any discipline on the refs who made these bad calls.

Just one more reason why we HAVE to win on Friday...if Perk gets a T and is suspended for Game 7 we def. won't win.  We can deal with losing him for the first game of the Finals.

They should have rescinded both T's... this is ridiculous. The first one was even worse than the 2nd when you think about it.

Disgusted. Sure we will have Perk for game 6, good news I guess. But sorry, the NBA basically says "we screwed up big time but only rescind one T", yet it doesn't change the fact that Perk missed the 2nd half and that it did cost us the game (among other reasons).

I don't disagree. It is all speculation as to what may or may not have happened. As I said above, the blame for this loss is not on the ref's. Yes, it was a horribly officiated game. We have seen The Celtics, when playing well, can overcome that. I guess what rankles is the NBA says we were wrong and rescind one T. But that doesn't change the severity of their mistake at the time. Correcting a mistake after the fact isn't something to be applauded. They still deserve criticism for making the mistake in the first place. Perk was still out the entire second half.

Yay, some good news ;)

They should have taken both of them away.

Both should have been rescinded. Perk now under big pressure, as one more T and he is gone for a game.

Let him miss game 1 against the Lakers.  We just need to win on Friday!

I dont like this thinking, and if we come up short he's gone for game 7 which basically will have us dusting off our golf clubs.

Well if I'm Howard I'm willing to get a double tec to get rid of Perk. I think he will be even more physical than usual.

I just can't believe the one they took away was the second one.  The first one is clearly him slipping while trying to help Paul Pierce up.

Ridiculous.

Just for clarification he would still need 2 techs for the game on Friday but, if you meant if there is a game 7 then yes that would be a good idea.

Barnes has been baiting KG all series.  Pushed him game 3, taunted him in game 4, elbowed him game 5.  Nothing appears to matter.

Only rescinding one of them is damage control, imo. People would be hammering the league(more than they already are) if the league acknowledged both calls were faulty.

Both calls should've been wiped away, but now we have to deal with the ramifications if he picks up another T. It's just sad because they suspend on 7 technicals and are easily willing to give out double techs for minor infractions. Take back the double on Gortat and Perk as well. Take back the T on Vince Carter from earlier in the series. UGH.
