Now that the CB Historical Draft is nearing it's end, we get to look back and vote on who were the best of the best for that era. Here is the first. If you want to vote for a player not listed, just post their name here.

This could get interesting as people debate prolific versus talented.

This is an interesting question.  I'd vote Magic, except he only played three seasons in the era.

That being the case, I've got to go with Stockton.  Arguably, Nash or Kidd was more magical with the ball, but Stockton led the league in assists seven straight times during this era (and nine times overall), with some truly ridiculous totals.

This is a great point but I think you are right for pure passing ability, it might have been Magic or Kidd or Nash or maybe even, though he's not there, Rondo.

Paul could be the perfect blend of outstanding ability and prolific numbers and he's still young and has a decade to put up more numbers. Lebron's ability to see the floor and find the open man for a big man/forward position is outstanding, maybe up there with Bird when all is said and done.

That said, given the amount of numbers that Stockton put up is hard to ignore. I am going to have to think about this one.

I voted Kidd.

Stockton had Malone.

Magic had Worthy, Kareem, Cooper, Scott, etc......

Kidd, while being surrounded by talented teammates, they were not in the league as what those two had around them. Kidd had Jefferson, KMart, and Dirk.

Stockton over Magic due to longitude.

I would have gone with Tracy McGrady and Grant Hill as the best passing wings over the past two decades over LeBron James.

Tough question.

I'd love to go with my guy Magic here but he just didn't play enough in this era to warrant serious consideration, IMO.

I'd have to go Stockton here.  Man was made to be a PG in life.
