I take everything I take everything I've said about Dwight Howard back. I Tivo'd games 4 & 5 and after watching them:I see that my comments about Howard's elbows, the refs not calling techs and the Matt Barnes plays were unwarranted. I now undestand that:

1. The back of KG's head accidently swung into Dwight's elbow.

2. That Rondo, on his break away layup last night, swuing his entire body back up into Howard after Howard blocked his shot on the break away. I also realize that Rondo swung his head and shoulder up into the arms and elbows of Hoawrd on the exact same play.

3. Addendum to #3, I also now realise that everything that happens after you block someone's sho is ok. You are permitted to land completly on top of the opposing player while swinging your arms down on him as well.

4. That Baby swung his head into Dwight's elbows last night. Watch the play again...Howard did the same thing he did to KG twice in game 4. He knows where the player is and he swings his elbows in that direction while looking the other way. It is blatantly obvious. On the Play on baby, his left elbows game down much faster and harder than his right elbow and it was intentional.

5. I also now realise that Matt Barnes deserved no technical for driving KG out of bounds but that Perk does for something much less. In fact Perk deserves an ejection for helping Pierce up but Howard and Barnes deserve no techs for their hits on Pierce and KG respectively.

6. I now know that the refs are defiantley calling all the obvious calls that are so easy to call. I now understand and see what they see; that the Celtics players are recklessly swinging their heads into Howard's elbows throughout the course of this series and that is completely unacceptable.

I'll tell you two things.

1. Not having the sack and aggression to win game four at home, when you are one game away from the finals is enormously pathetic and completly unnacceptable. This is what you get when you let that happen.

2. If I'm in this series and one of the Celtics bigs? Howard is getting the following.

A) A broken nose and a gash opened up on his face from one of "my elbows".

B) I'm taking him out at the knees when he's up for one of his dunks but it will look like I stumbled on my own feet and careened to the floor when it's done

C) I'm taking a full and incredibly hard swing at his head while he's trying to dunk it. I will make no play at the ball but it will look like I am. The idea will be to hit him as hard as I possibly can directly in the nose and face. the intention will be to drawe blood or break his nose, a combination of both being preferable.

I-am-done with this guy. If the Refs aren't going to do it, I will. And you can do it if you knwo how to and get away with it. I've done it plenty of times when it was necessary.

Great post.

As much as I don't support violence, I think what you're recommending would be analagous to dropping the atomic bomb.  It will cause unnecessary pain and suffering, but in the long run might be healthier for more people.  At some point Howard needs to realize that what he has been doing is VERY dangerous.  Had this statement been made to him in game 1 we wouldn't have these injuries on our team.

If any of that happens, and it should, the blood will be all over Mr. Sterns hands. What other choice is there right now? Winning just isn't possible when Coward is not only dishing out cheap shots at every turn, but getting away with it. They Celtics need to resort to goonery to the highest degree. There's no other way at this point.

Thanks spilling Green Dye. Look, I'm actually just about the last guy to make plays like that and I've played for alot of years.

But if I'm out there just getting whacked all over the place, my guys are going down, the refs aren't calling it and I'm also getting whacked around, I am not just going to stand there and take it.

I'm probably not going to take the guys out at the knees, that's actually a little too much and too dangerous.

But there is nothing wrong with breaking his nose or opening him up on his face. You can also break a finger, theres' alot of things you can do without getting ejected and I've done them before. It's how you make the play look.

But your point about if we'd sent the message by laying it onto Howard ( and the other magic players for that matter) the refs would get the point and start calling some of this stuff on Howard.

I also have a problem with Doc not giving the marching orders to our players to make a statement.

But I'm and eye for an eye. Howard would have been put in some major hurt fairly quickly after his hit on Pierce and on every time he made another play.

You have to answer guys like Howard almost on the next play or they'll never stop doing it...

"Eye for an eye"

All we need is 2 minutes for Shelden and a precisely placed elbow to Dwight´s nose.
In the summer of 2017, I predicted this team would not win a championship for the next 10 years.

3 down, 7 to go.

Exactly,

The Landlord has to go down into the paint and COLLECT Elbow's rent. Make him pay through the nose!

Maybe Greg Kite, Jim Luscutoff, and John Wensink can be signed up for one night.
The beatings will continue until morale improves

If I am Doc and Perk and BBD are available next game, I dress Scal and say to him...."I think you know the reason why you are in uniform tonight....give me 4 "solid" minutes....oh, and send a message."

Doc of all people would never do that. Kurt Thomas, Jamaal Mcloire maybe...

Ironic how we spent the first two games mauling Howard and now everyone gets all self-righteous. Kinda hilarious.

More ironic is that in the same series where Boston was allowed to maul the Magic in the first three games, Perk got called for the most vaporous personal foul on Howard and ended up getting tossed.
