I'm pasting my front page post in here, because I believe in it strongly.  Our team needs us now.



Things stink right now, but don't give up.  We've still got this.

I'm not sure if it quite fits, but in trying to think of what we need to win Game 6, I was reminded of one of my favorite quotations, by Teddy Roosevelt:

I believe too, but I still think Doc needs to make some adjustments. Van Gundy has made his and now Doc needs to counter.

The playoffs is always about adjustments IMO....especially in closely contested series.

Count me in as still a believer. After 3 games, it didn't seem as though the Magic could do anything differently, and would wind up getting swept. How quickly the tables can turn! However, they can also turn back into our favor just as quickly with a few minor adjustments. Doc has to try something different out there. He needs to give Nelson a different look. Throw Pierce on him for a while, let Ray guard Carter, and let Rondo guard Barnes. Nelson is the catalyst in their attack. He is killing Rondo. Give Pierce some minutes on that midget and watch as our fortunes turn! Rondo is not bothering his shot at all. Length bothers Nelson. Adjust Doc, ADJUST!

Yeah, we need some adjustments.  And we need some urgency, some heart.

We beat down the Magic with physical defense and pure heart and intensity.  We out-hustled them, so it seemed, right out of the series.

The last two games the Celtics have looked either disinterested or disjointed (or both).  The Magic look rejuvenated and locked in.  They have nothing to lose, and they're playing like it (Dwight Howard is flailing those elbows like he doesn't care if he's suspended).

The Celtics that won 6 straight need to show up on Friday (ugh, a Friday home game), and they NEED to close this series out.  If the Magic win Friday, they're going to win this series.

No way we allow them to win 3 in a row. Celtics need to remember who ended their season last spring and how. And remember how they got the lead in this series in the first place. Dig deep and get just one win and be rewarded with a week off and a chance for another ring.

So yeah not only do I believe we will win I'm asking for DOMINATION. Not a close win. Not a comfortable win. I want them annihilated and kicked no elbowed back to Orlando wishing they'd rolled over and died on Monday.

The Zebras dictated the game and I called it out in our earlier post. I'm sick of the refs letting Howard swing elbows like a wild man, the fouls that were called on Perk are bogus and let not forget all the goal tending Howard did also. You know we came out aggressive and the refs screw'd us from the opening whistle man, let see what happen in In game six, will they call the moving screens, Jameer Nelson grabbing Rondo jersey will they call it? I felt cheated tonight man for real.

TP. It isn't like the team we are playing is chopped liver. The number 2 seed. The second best record. I was, very pleasantly, surprised we won the first two games on their court. Yes, it had talking heads screaming about sweeps but one couldn't reasonably expect The Magic wouldn't put it together at some point. Now we have to buckle down and take this next game. I believe we will!

I believe if Perk and Sheed play Friday night and Sheed can be effective with whatever his injury is. I also believe if Rondo can get back to where he was in the first three games of the series. This is the only way I believe, because if we do not have at least two healthy guys that can guard Howard 1-on-1, the Celtics are in big trouble. And, if Rondo cannot stay in front of Nelson on defense the Celts are in trouble.
