Now that the CB Historical Draft is nearing it's end, we get to look back and vote on who were the best of the best for that era. Here is the first. If you want to vote for a player not listed, just post their name here.

Pretty much a no-brainer to me.

  • Doc could learn a thing or two from Norman Dale
If this was the 80s draft, I'd take Bird and Michael over MJ.  Not here, though.

Magic Johnson isn't on the poll.

I am undecided. Leaning towards Jordan but LeBron and Magic are both in the conversation.

Um, yeah.  Or Michael Jackson.  Either works. ;)

I added Magic but given that he only played 3 years in the era and only two of them were noteworthy, I didn't think anyone would consider him. I mean in 8 separate years MJ was either the MVP or the runner up during the era.

Oh, I thought we would only be considering a single season like we are in the game ... in that case, yeah, Michael Jordan in a landslide.

No, these polls that I am going to do over the next several days is for the whole era. It's a cool way to look back, remember those players and to talk about who we think were the best of the best at certain things.

Obviously, best player of the era is a slam dunk but I think other categories should be interesting.

  • Let them hate, as long as they fear
If we were talking about the better offensive player between Lebron and Jordan, (and I thought till recently that Jordan was the best player ever)I would give my vote to Lebron as the most complete offensive player ever. Jordan could finesse the ball to the basket; scores everywhich way. If we are talking about the best team player between Lebron, Jordan ad Magic, I think Magic did it all (his height was definitely an advantage better; even played center in a Finals. You had to have watched Magic to see his worth. Then, you had to have watched Jordan, to see an unbelivevable artist. Lebron is an extremely gifted unstoppable player; He is the best load in town. Then so is Kobe, another unique scorer and passer.
And someday in the midst of time,
When they ask you if you knew me
Remember that you were a friend of mine
