Edit:  Figured I would change the thread title because it seems appropriate. It should be obvious that we ain't winning game 7 in Orlando. All the pressure will be on the Celts to win game 6 because they are on the brink of making history.

I JUST DO NOT HAVE A GOOD FEELING ABOUT THIS

Yeah, I know, newsflash.  Anyway, another loss tonight and we will have the weight of the world trying to clinch in game 6 (our last home game).  I have basically written off any chance of winning a game 7.

Yes, yes, today I am Chicken Little.

Orlando had the motivation to avoid a sweep... I don't think they truly have the confidence/motivation to take the series. If they go down 10, they go down for good.

That will surely happen either tonight or in game 6. Go Celtics!!

Rondo's gotta be aggressive and KG has got to hit those elbow jumpers...think positive thoughts...breathe in, breathe out...it's always darkest before the dawn...Big game tonight.

Big Baby is going to have a big game. ;D

  • Rondo = Good
If all of our starters show up and we get good production from one of the bench guys, we win.

We can't have afford another disappearing act from Rondo, KG, Perk, or the bench (especially in the 4th quarter).

Orlando is going to lay down tonight. their only motivation was to not get swept and they accomplished that.

I don't think a loss tonite would make way for more pressure on our next Home game. Clubs are supposed to win their Home games. Orlando is no exception. We had a chance Tues., but due to tiredness and less than intelligent play we played ourselves out of it. We've seen it happen many times this season. Some of our starters look like their out of gas at times. Especially in over times. Rondo was mostly responsible for getting us here so let's give him the ball to distribute the pain to Orlando. Still I'm not confident in winning tonite but very confident now of going all the way. Especially after watching LA's lack of defense against Phoenix.

I'm hoping that's the script.  However, two other scripts are haunting me.....one has a 6 and one has a 7.

speaking of that next home game....when is it?  Would we get 2 days off after a loss tonight.  That would be key imo.....key in our favor...

While I certainly would like to see the Celtics wrap it up tonight, I do not she it as a HUGE game as they have two more chances after this, one at home.
Now I will say it is a HUGE game for Orlando.

in my opinion, foul trouble is going to be key in this game...Rondo had 3 in the first half so his production got slowed down. Rondo is key, the big 3 all did a great job, but rondo on the other hand cannot produce because of foul trouble...

jameer got lucky and took advantage of it,

my keys for tonights game

Rondo got to push push push, avoid foul trouble
big 3 need same production as game 4
Big men like Perk, BBD, and Sheed need to contain howard and get him out of the paint, under 20 points, box out and get him under 12 rebounds
protect the 3 point line
limit turnovers and stop being the hero
win it TOGETHER!

i like our chances

If Rondo plays poorly its a 50/50 game like game 4 was. If Rondo plays well, its probably 75/25 the C's win.

I do think if it gets to 3-2 then psychological pressure starts to shift from ORL to BOS. Don't make history the wrong way. C's lost 3-2 lead last year. Etc.

I'm hoping they knock it out tonight and then get three games of scouting LAL or PHO in.

Well, I just found out that today is the 23rd Anniversary of "The Steal By Bird and Pass to DJ!" to beat Detroit back in 1987 in the playoffs.

Ironically, that was a game 5, also. Just saw that in the Newspaper.

I believe we'll be fine tonight :)

This game is going about as I figured. Not giving up by any means but if it continues (as I think it will), game 6 will be for all the marbles.  And if so, there would be immense pressure on the Celts knowing that they ain't winning a game 7 and will be on the verge of making history.
