if this article is correct, Thibodeau could be gone after the playoffs. I'm glad to see him get a shot as a head coach, but I would like him to do it in boston of Doc leaves. Any thoughts?

p.s. you'd think they could find a better photo of Thibs, I feel for the guy

Boo! >:(

I'm scared about losing Thibs.  He's turned our defense into one of the best ever the last few seasons.  I'm worried about Doc trying to replicate his success on his own.

Although I am happy for him if he gets the job, he deserves it.

I think the prudent thing for Thibs to do would be wait. If Doc ends up leaving after the season he would be given the coaching job here. I'm sure he'd rather be here than New Orleans for many reasons.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

I think if Tom goes, so does Doc. So maybe we'll see a new head coach and lead assisstant next season.

I don't like the fact that teams can talk to a coach during the playoffs. Teams shouldn't be allowed to distract coaches from the job they are doing at the present time. But that's just me.
Back to wanting Joe fired.

Buyer's remorse.  Thib's strikes me as a lifetime top assistant and not a head man.  When he's slid over into Doc's seat he doesn't look comfortable, and he also doesn't seem to grasp all the nuances of gamecalling and substitution patterns.  I hate to say it, but I see failure written all over him.  He's a defensive guru, much like **** Harter type, but not a head coach.  I wish him well if he goes, but I don't see a successful stint and highly doubt he'll survive his contract.

It's just a problem because the draft and FA happen so close to the season finale. Teams want the coach to get in there and weigh in on their decision or possibly lure free agents. I do know that interviewing isn't necessarily the easiest thing and it's gotta affect his gameplanning time.

Well, just imagine you're a Laker fan (I know...pity the thought) and Phil Jackson is being courted already by the Nets and Bulls, linking the idea of adding LeBron with Phil to Noah & Rose.

This also happens in the NFL, and the system they have is even more unfair because teams in the playoffs (if I understand correctly) don't allow their coaches to talk with other teams.

Unless someone puts a drop-dead date on this stuff, anything goes.

I don't really like that this is happening during the playoffs. It can wait -- I find it a little disrespectful/sabotaging of the Hornets

Edit: sick originality with that post, bud. see above.

Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.
