The swinging elbows caught KG in the face and were by no means inadvertent. Regardless KG was suspended for inadvertently elbowing Richardson in the Heat series.

Therefore if the intention is not the determinant factor in being suspended then by the letter of the law Dwight should be suspended too.

I doubt it will happen but it will be a huge double standard if Dwight doesn't miss a game for throwing his elbows.

One more thing, why give KG the technical straight away. The Refs have replay, why not use it in that situation to see what happened, Dwight gets far too much protection.

I feel like I'm usually a homer but I felt the KG elbow to Richardson was clearly on purpose and not during actual gameplay. Where, Dwight's elbow happened during the flow of the game while battling in the post.

The only way Howard gets suspended is if he elbowed the messiah.

The messiah has already, to Stern's dismay.

I don't think Howard should be suspended for anything that he did in the last game.  If anything warranted a suspension is was his hit on Pierce a few games ago, and I'm glad he didn't get suspended for that.

Its just hard playoff basketball, and everyone on both teams are getting bruises.

I agree, we need to de-girlify the NBA, and taking hits without complaining and moving on is the best way to start.

Plus how much suspense do you lose from a competition when you take away the other teams most dominant player?

We sound like crybaby fans when we start looking for the other team's best player to be suspended. Inadvertant elbows were what I saw. Now, the Barnes' push on KG the other night should have warranted at least a flagrant 1 if not 2.

I don't want Howard suspended by any means. I just want plays to be called for what they are.

That goes for Boston or Orlando.  If Perkins pile drives someone into the stansion while making no play on the ball, I want him T'd up. Immediately.

There is such an obvious and clear difference between good hard smash mouth basketball and dirty, dangerous baksetball hits. Any two year old can tell the difference. It's incredibly clear when you see it.

Jameer's play on Pierce, while I wold have liked a clal, was good, hard, clean and aggrssive basketball.

Barnes play on KG, Howard's elbow to KG's face, Howard's elbow to Big Baby's face, Howard's elbow to Perkin's face...are not coincidental. He has a rep...he's done it before...he's doing it now...he'll always do it..

Call the play.

On the Barnes / KG play shoving KG into van Gundy, I would have been happy with a simple tech. Don't even have to label it a flagrant 1, just acknowledgement it's beyond an acceptable foul with a tech and move on.

That's all I'm asking for.

Barnes shoving KG into Van Gundy was a major highlight for me. I wouldn't give up that replay of KG slamming into Stan for a tech or suspension, that was priceless.

Well, you have a point there hapantazo. I never thought, in my wildest dreams, I'd see KG tackling Ron Jeremy on a basketball court.

I take back everything I said.

Agreed and agreed.

Couldn't Barnes initiating contact with the intent to fight with KG be viewed almost the same as when KG was suspended for pushing the crybaby Heat player?Where is the espn calling for a suspension by the league on Barnes like they did in KG's case.Maybe im not seeing it right but i was told it is black/white and no grey areas when it comes to putting your hands on another player with the intent to start a physical altercation?

I agree on that House call. KG kept walking backwards and Barnes kept after him and put his hands into KG's chect frou separate times with KG knocking them away four times.

I understand you do it once, but once the guy is wlaking away, which KG was, you're done. You don't keep pursuing the guy. It was clearly antagonistic. barnes should have been T'd up, that wouldn have been enough for me. That nothing was called, wasn't right. Howard also should have received a t for clapping, yealling and glaring at KG. According to the league that would be taunting.

howard was baiting KG after the elbow....howard screamed and clapped his hands saying" I WANT YOU TO HIT ME"...howard is cheap. he throws  the elbow around quite a bit
