Hey guys, first of all id like to thank KG for all of the heroics he provided in 08, and maybe his recent play is simply due to him not fully recovering from his knee surgery, but the KG that weve seen in this series is simply not cutting it. To start with the positives, he has done a fantastic job guarding and essentially taking Rashard Lewis of of the game...

With that said, however KGs offensive display in the 4th quarter/OT was horrendous, and correct me if im wrong but I dont think he scored a single point in these 2 periods.

To start with, after getting called for the T (thats pure passion I have no problem with this), KG hits a shot + gets to the free throw line... HE MISSED THE FREE THROW! Look I can understand people missing freethrows, but not one that big that would have tied the game at 86 a piece! This is especiall un-KG like, in that he was passionate and fired up... Look im ok at Basketball, but if someone p---es me off, I shut them up by channeling my energy and making the shots that count, just cuz thats the last way to shut someone up!

Next, after missing his freethrow, KG called for a shot (even though Pierce and Allen were on fire) so they fed him the ball and he took a shot while double teamed and missed it... Last, he broke free of Superman and had an open layup and missed this as well!!

Finally he culminated his horrendous play with an awful pass throw way over Pierces head, which got the Magic back in this game. Pierce and Allen were found trying to pick up KG's slack much to the point where Dwight and Jameer Nelson were picking up Carters slack...

So all in all, I really think KG actually hurt us down the stretch more than he helped us... and the worst part of it all is that I do not see this is an aberration, I more see this as the continual decline of KGs explosiveness...

KG takes a fair share of the responsibility for this loss.

I am probably more upset that he didn't take a couple open shots.

He has to be an offensive threat.

It seemed we relied too heavily on Pierce to close the game out and Paul was just dead tired.

KG is as much to blame for this los as anyone on the team or the coaching staff ... but not MORE so. We WIN as a team, and we LOSE the same way ... this loss was not on any one player, but on the whole team. We had many chances to win and just kept giving those chances away ... Rondo (not attacking), Pierce (taking horrible shots in the 4th & OT), Perk (not posting up), Ray (not showing up until the 4th), the bench (who were terrible), and KG ... but NOT KG alone, not anyone alone.

Short version, because I don't have the patience for the long version, you are going to trash one of the men responsible for where we are right now because he wasn't stellar in one game? Give me a break. Did KG have his best game? No. Should you throw him under the bus because of that? Most certainly not. This is the worst of reactionary posts possible. Did you honestly think The Celtics would sweep going into this series? Had I told you pre-series that The C's would be up 3-1 would you not take that? This post is reactionary and short-sighted. We wouldn't be up 3-1 without KG's play. His D and timely offense. Have some perspective. I could go on but the things I would say are out of bounds.

The one to blame for the loss is Pierce, who got the rebound with one possession left in the 4th when the game was tied 96-96, and didn't call a timeout, and then lost the ball. If we had taken a timeout, we'd have a much better chance of winning it and finally forgetting about Orlando. But no, they wanted to go back to Orlando, so now you have it! Magic win Game 5 and I don't know what to expect of Game 6.

PP blew the last play in regulation. He was again in a ball-hogging mode. The ball should have been in Rondo's hands and the PP isolation should have come with 5 seconds left. Instead PP was there fumbling again with his dribble. The games we won against the Cavs and the first 3 against the Magic didn't have periods wherein PP was holding the ball for more than 7 seconds. Worse, the regulation ended with us not even launching a potential game-winning shot.

Overall, PP, KG, Sheed, TA and Perk were all not focused in winning this game (I hope it is not pivotal one since it's just one loss but it could be costly since we give them the chance to come back with confidence and Magic home court). It was so evident that when we won games against them and the Cavs all the Celts were cool, calm, composed, focused, unrelenting in defense and never complaining. KG, Perk, Sheed and PP were all playing as if the series is in the bag and armed with overconfidence.

This topic is UNSAT!!! When you start bashing THE BIG TICKET. Okay all Celtics fan including myself GET A GRIP NOW! Lets Focus on the task win game 5 and set up for the final enough said. RED would be upset to hear the petty cry of pointing fingers like we are doing, especially at our leader. I still blame DOC for not gathering the troops at the end.

DOC should call the timeout when Rondo was coming up the court a time out should of been called. P2 bless his heart was tired the whole team was tired. We had 3 time outs with 14.6 the score 86-86 regroup the troops. Doc is the King of drawing up plays after a time. It was all so simple don't blame Paul.

If Sheed hadn't got that T we'd won the regulation by one point.

But you can't point the finger on just one person. If you did I'd point it at PP.

No they just didn't play well.  This place will be buzzing for the next few days... Posts will go up by 100%.  By the start of game 5 everyone will have been blamed from Doc to the ball boy.

I'll be looking for close out in game 5.  It won't be easy but, this loss should get their focus back.  6 straight wins and being told how great you are for past few weeks had them relaxing a bit.

Losing this game may have been better for this team in the long run with LA's series getting extended.

Just a poor night all around, and one player is most assuredly not responsible for the loss.

The execution was bad at both ends of the floor. The ball movement was terrible. Nelson got anywhere he wanted on the floor. Defense in the first half was atrocious.

Bad night. It happens.

This.

Just don't have two bad games in a row.

Everyone else seems to be being polite, but I'm not. This is nonsense. This is just more of that negative nay-saying that began the whole realist vs blind optimist debate. Totally ridiculous.

The team has won as a team and last night they lost as a team. No one person blew this game. It was a collective jumble of yuck that, quite honestly, surprised me to see us still with a chance to win or even go into over time because it was such a poor overall performance.

But pinning this strictly on Garnett is just absurd. He played good defense. He rebounded well. He shot well. And he came to play.

Can the same thing be said about others?

KG was terrible offensively in the 4th/OT last night, I thought he didn't know what to do with the ball, he just took contested shots or made terrible passes resulting in turnovers.

His defense was good though. But you can't blame him solely for the late game collapse, not boxing out on Dwight twice after a crucial Orlando miss killed us.
