D Howard says Magic are too good to get swept...and other stuff

Dwight Howard said after Monday’s shootaround that the Magic are too good to be swept tonight and that they’ve given the Celtics too much respect.

“We got to win the first quarter,” he said. ”Last game we were kind of hesitant in a lot of things we did. The biggest thing is being aggressive. We’ve shown their defense too much respect. We’ve got to attack.”   

Howard said the Magic are confident despite the fact no team has ever come back from an 0-3 hole to win a seven-game series.

“We’re very confident, coming out tonight and playing great. No more talking to be said. We’ve watched enough film. We’ve seen enough mistakes. It’s time to go work.

“We’re a good team. We shouldn’t get swept.”

i do not want a game 5. the lakers lost and the celtics gained a few extra days of rest...IF they sweep the magic.

i mean what do you want them to say, we're going to get swept we give up? if we were in there shoes id hope we had the same mentality to attack and still believe were a good team and believe we wont get swept.

A sweep tonight would serve ORL right.

As I was preparing to log in here, I remembered the celebration that ORL had on our Floor....last year at this time.

No Mercy, Boston! Give them the same Butt-Wipping we administered Saturday!

And keep the starters in until the end, just like ORL did last year, too.

Dwight is saying what he is supposed to say, but it doesn't matter. He should've thought about catchy phrases a week ago.

ORL is a Great Team..Quality opponent.

But Our Celtics are playing at another level right now.

I don't see what he said that was all that idiotic. They do have to play better from the start of the game. They can't let the Celtics defense determine what they want to do or intimadate them. They don't want to get swept. And they did win 8 playoff games in a row and destroyed Atlanta in a way no other team has been whipped, so they do have a good team.

I can't imagine that Garnett, Pierce or anyone else on the Celtics would be saying anything different if the situation was reversed.
