Quote
WALTHAM, Mass. -- Celtics coach Doc Rivers suggested Sunday that reserve guard Tony Allen has been playing through ankle pain that left the team wondering if he'd even be available for Game 3.

Tony Allen is playing through ankle pain."Tony's ankle has been bothering him a lot, but he's playing through it," said Rivers.

Allen missed the first 20 games of the 2009-10 season with a sore right ankle after rushing himself back from offseason ankle surgery and aggravating the injury during the only preseason game he appeared in. Despite little expectations given his injuries woes in six seasons in Boston, Allen soon emerged as Boston's most reliable bench player, providing consistent defense and the occasional offensive spark.

Allen slowed his pregame workout before Game 2 in Orlando numerous times and appeared to be grimacing while grabbing at his right foot. Allen played only 15 minutes that night, his shortest outing since May 1.

Rivers noted the injury was so worrisome that the Celtics actually used Nate Robinson as the backup point guard for much of the three-day break between Games 2 and 3 because the team was uncertain if Allen could go Saturday night.

Allen played 18 minutes in Game 3, making the only shot he attempted, while registering four points, two assists, a steal, and a rebound. His deflection set into motion Rajon Rondo's spectacular hustle play that fueled the Celtics to a lopsided win and a 3-0 series lead.

Ugh.

That doesn't sound good.  Looks like we'll see more of Finley and maybe even Daniels tonight...
Celtics fan for life.

Well he played more minutes Saturday than Tuesday night, so i think he is good to keep playing his usual minutes unless it gets worse. I just really hope it doesnt, because i dont want to see more Daniels/Finley. Will need TA against Kobe as long as we make it, so the finals not starting until June 3rd will help him.

Thisy will be over by halftime. The Magic have nothing left. Just time to wrap it up and start packing for the Finals.

TA isn't nearly as necessary in the Orlando match up as he was in Miami and Cleveland, but he will be pivotal to the C's being capable of stopping Kobe Bryant.

We need to finish this tonight. I expect our boys to come out focused. I think we see a big game out of KG.

Fantastic job, FL, I couldn't stop laughing with the Poodles vs Rottweilers pictures.

The Magic are a very good team, but the Celtics must start like they did in game 3. I've enjoyed this series so far, and it would be great to finish 4-0 with a good win tonight.

TP's all around. Go Celtics!!

As The Green Goblin said as he hovered over a surprised and helpless Aunt May in Spiderman 1:

"Finish It!!!!"

Close them out, C's!! They won't go easy, but we got this!!

If you need motivation, just remember the celebration they did on or home floor last year at this time..left our team broken.

What a difference a year makes!!

LOL @ the photos. TP FLCF those cracked me up so hard.
We need to start out focused and stick to the game-plan for 4 quarters so we can put this series to bed and get some rest before gearing up for the finals. NO MERCY!!! Gooooooooooooo Celtics!
