Where would you go if you wanted to win a title?

  • Doc could learn a thing or two from Norman Dale
I'd return to Dallas.

I don't think any teams that can offer him the money he's worth are within a year or two of a title, so I think Dirk should stay loyal to Dallas.

I was thinking along the lines of MIA, but they would need more than Wade and Dirk, and I don't see Kidd joining them, either.

I think MIA would be good, Dirk and Wade would be better than Wade and Bosh. Upgrade some role players and they are a contender.

All kidding aside, I would try to go to NY with LeBron. Dirk and Lebron on the same court would be an offensive machine.

#1 Miami
#2 Chicago
#3 New York -- could move up this list if they sign someone else first

#4 Dallas -- but Dirk is a lock to stay in Dallas. Unfortunately for him.

I agree . Boston is where he should go, really. If Boston had dirk they would win the next 3 championships hand down.

But he won't come to Boston because money is what will decide this for him and others.

Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

If I was Dirk I'd stay. He's made his money and he doesn't look like he wants to give much of it up. Plus, I like what Mark Cuban is doing. He'll go 110% for Dirk, and players need owners that want more than a sign on a bill board and full luxury box seats.

Chicago, New York ... maybe Philly or Miami ... and if I were him, I'd be considering Washington, as I think Dirk would be a great compliment to John Wall. (But I doubt he's going anywhere, seriously).

Same.  He and Wade together would be crazy good.  I actually think he'd be better as second fiddle to Wade.  In Chicago he'd be the alpha guy.  Rose and Noah and Deng are a nice nucleus, and he'd surely be good there, but if he goes to the same team as Wade or Lebron and it'll be lights out.

How about okc?

That would be the 2 best shooters on one team in a long time.

Do a sign and trade Dirk for Harden and Green

Pg: Westbrook
SG: Sefalosha or MLE
SF: Durant
PF Dirk
 C: Ibaka

That would be a very dangerous team that can defend and has 3 go to scorers.

I have a bad feeling he is going to the Lakers in a S&T centered around Bynum.

If this were a dream-like scenerio and I could choose any NBA team and then just implant him there...I'd love to see him on a gritty Utah Jazz team playing alongside Deron Williams and coached by Jerry Sloan.  I also would love to see him on the Blazers next to all of their young talent or Oklahoma City.

In reality he should probably just stay with Dallas of all the teams who could potentially nab him.

I can't imagine Cuban wanting to help the Lakers out like that.  I think he doesn't want them to win a championship as much as we do.
