I expect us to sign around 3-5 of these guys then fill out our roster with draft picks and NBDL guys. Wouldn't be shocked if we sign Scal to the vet min also

I think we can only sign three of those guys if two of them are Ray and Tony.  We're just not going to have much money to bring in good free agents.  $5.6 million (approximately) just doesn't go that far, and I can't see many of the above guys playing for the minimum (although some probably would.)

I was hoping that some of those guys would come to town on the championship contender discount.

I was thinking resign Ray and TA. Then maybe split the MLE between two of this group, Delonte, Reddick, Miller, Butler, Outlaw. Plus two draft picks would put us at 12 players. Then we could sign Scal and potentially Duhon to vet min deals. Then we sign some d league guys to fill out the roster.

yeah, I like splitting the MLE between Reddick and Miller or Butler.  Don't like Delonte.  I think Reddick is better.  Except that unless we give Reddick the full MLE, we won't get him because he is restricted.

The only guys worth having are those that can crack the 8- or 9-man playoff rotation.  That probably means spending the MLE on one guy.

For me, Mike Miller or Luke Ridnour would be the first choices.

If we draft a wing and want to pick up a next-tier backup PG, Steve Blake and Shaun Livingston would be my choices.

PG - Anthony Johnson - experienced backup PG that can play both sides of the ball well, and produce in limited minutes

SG - Both Allens need to come back

SF - Rasual Butler no1 option, Outlaw no2.
Marquis Daniels didn't pan out as well I hoped IMO, so he should be used in a sign n trade elsewhere

PF - Hakim Warrick GET THIS GUY. He can defend, has post moves, and can dunk through his defender within 5ft of the rim.

C - Theo Ratliff - all we need is some shot blocker and fouler for 5-6 fouls.

On a side note, I would at least look into the possibility of adding an Iverson or Tmac in a reduced role(agreed upon before contract signing) Both players could contribute greatly to our scoreless bench(more McGrady then AI)

Imagine Shaq and Sheed as the backup big men next year. 

As a bonus, with Sheed coming off the bench, Perkins wouldn't play quite as much, and so would be cheaper to resign next summer.

Nah, I'll pass. BBD is playing well and is able to cover 4's which allows Sheed to cover slower 5's. With Shaq, Sheed would be on the 4's and our defensive rotation would suffer a lot.

There is no way Iverson would be willing to play a reduced role.  Plus, I'm not sure I like a former Georgetown Hoya and UConn Husky on the same team.  And frankly, I think AI is done.

Based on this old thread if you had told anyone that we would resign Ray and Paul, get both O'Neals, Krstic and Troy Murphy, get Delonte, Jeff Greene, Pavlovic and Arroyo, it would have seemed like quite a stretch.

Good job Danny.

Only issue is that we still don't know what we will get from the O'Neals or Delonte.

The way this guy is playing, I am glad the C's never signed him. And gladder that the heat did.

Needs:  A backup PG (hopefully with a little size) That can defend and either penetrate or shoot (both would be too much to hope for at what we can afford but they need to do at least one of those plus defend). Not sure who is a good choice for this:  Steve Blake, Chris Duhon, Luke Ridnour, I think Shaun Livingston has made enough of a comeback he might even a decent backup for Rondo.

I think TA's earned his spot as our backup SG (Ray's backup) I'm assuming we're getting both Allen's back

We really need a backup for Paul.  Who can shoot and maybe some size.  I like Travis Outlaw or Mike Miller here as first choices not opposed to T-Mac (if he'd take less money and be a backup) or Dorell Wright as second choices.

Last thing we need is another backup big man preferably athletic.  Hakim Warrick, Al Harrington, Udonis Haslem, even Brendan Haywood are on my wish list (not sure what the market will be for any of them) but definitely a live body to take some of Sheed's minutes especially during the season....

As I browse through this post there was a name I was shocked not to see on anyones list, Deandre Jordan.   22  6'11" 265 and IMO a beast at the Center position in the making.  Did you forget the last time the C's play the Clippers.  21pts. 9reb. and a huge presences in the middle.

He has been brought up here before, but I would imagine the Clippers would match any contract offer the C's could make for him.  Teams generally don't let guys like that go at this point in their careers.
