Does he have a twin? One for regular season and one for PostSeason. How else can you explain his play in PostSeason?

You could say the same thing for just about anyone on the roster, everyone is playing at such a cohesively high level.

It's quite inspiring to see the young guys like Davis, Rondo and Allen (though he's not that young anymore) step up to the occasion emotionally. It really shows how important veteran leadership is in the postseason.

Looking at him play, he seems lighter..maybe he's finally rounding into NBA form from the incident?

He's rebounding more, too..very active around the basket....I think what has impressed me the most so far is his play against Dwight..he is doing almost as good as Perk in keeping Dwight out of the post.

He was always a Load..but he just seems stronger now..I saw Dwight trying to back him down, and Glen barely moved.

His play is at least 50% hustle and at least 30% strength.  He seems to get so amped up and intense for the playoffs, when he knows every hustle play can have huge importance.  It's great to see.

He doesn't have great physical gifts or a ton of talent, but he has heart, focus, and desire - more than the whole other team put together.

He did the same thing last year. When the team needed him after KG injury, he picked up his game and gave 110%. He'll be a big contributor to the C's in many years to come.

I think Baby has a lot more skill than his body type will show.

He's got pretty good foot work and balance (to be able to move his feet and sustain that weight, guess you have to have good balance), he's got good instincts for when to go with the up & under or when to shoot the face up jumper.

I love Big Baby ... always have ... the kid has more hustle than most two other players. Makes inexperience mistakes sometimes, but who doesn't? I'd love to keep him around long-term ... and I hope we do! (TP, RIB)

On top of heart and desire he has underrated (by most) athletic ability for a 300 pounder.  Very light on his feet like he's floating around out there..

He floats like a butterfly and stings like a Manna Ray.

He best attribute though is guts.  He never shies from the moment like say a Rashard Lewis or Wince Carter might do.

I'm sorry, but he does have physical gifts and a ton of talent.  Not elite talent, but he does have "it".

Yep.  I started a thread a while ago saying Baby is clutch. Doc alluded to it last night.  He said that for whatever reason, Davis seems to play well on the big stage and is not afraid of the moment.  That's why I say we should not trade Baby.  Clutchness and heart cannot be measured on the stat sheet.  He does the little things that help you win games and his BBIQ is off the charts.

No matter how I position this it will come out sounding anti BBD, but that really is not the intent. I admit that I was wrong about BBD's value to this team this year. He has stepped up big time out there and is a player I want on our bench for years to come. That being said, I have to disagree with his BBIQ comment at the end. He has okay BBIQ.  He is a player that continuously gets called for a moving pick at the top of the key and looks at the refs like he has no clue what they are calling. A guy who continuously tries to score directly beneath the basket in the middle of 3 taller guys even though he is getting blocked for the third consecutive time, versus kicking the ball out, does NOT have "off the charts" basketball IQ. Those are stubborn dumb plays that he should not make, but refuses to change.

If he changed those 2 things he would be an even more consistent player and then maybe be considered as having high BBIQ. What the guy has is HUSTLE. He has intensity and no fear. He has some great quick footwork for his body type. Those are the things that make us love him on the floor, not his BBIQ. I will take what he is giving any day though. Keep it up BBD!

I think a lot of it is his hustle and heart, which didn't seem to be there as much during the regular season.  I credit that partly to the injury and reduced minutes after last year's stellar playoff performance. 

That said, I think we do need to moderate praise and realize that part of his success is playing with Rondo, 3 Hall of Famers, and other strong players.  He probably isn't getting open 18 footers and easy layups on other teams. 

Still, the fact that he takes advantage of these opportunities should be praised.  There's a lot of NBA players who wouldn't.
