Good idea to [pee] off the most [peeved] off team in the league

haha.  The word substitution is great.  I'm learning new words that can't be used in these forums everyday!  It certainly makes posts more funny.

lol Matt Barnes.. Who's scared of Matt Barnes?

Orlando's going to be in trouble if they switch Barnes to Pierce and let Carter cover Ray. Paul will get work done versus Barnes and Ray will torch Carter.

Over the past 2 years EVERYBODY on this blog has said they wanted Barnes because he is a good defender. I can't wait for PP to clear him out.  8)

TP... I agree

also calls Pierce a flopper, cant stand Matt Barnes and to think we almost got him  :-X

I don't think the Cs were close to getting him because as I recall he wanted to be in a warm climate.

But I would love him on the Cs, especially for the LLE which is what he is getting paid in Orlando.  He'd certainly bring a lot more than Marquis Daniels.

Paul does do a bit of acting from time-to-time, but no more than anyone else in the NBA, and much less than some. As far as (legend-in-his-own-mind) Matt Barnes defending Pierce effectively, I'll believe it when I see it.

interesting quote from howard:

“Well, the sun came up today and life went on like normal. I know we’re in a really tough spot right now going down 0-2 to the Celtics, but I’m not about doom and gloom at all here. Repeat after me: We can still do this!!! We need to get over the hump. All that matters now is getting our minds and our games right for Game 3 and not worrying about what has happened in the first two games. Of course, we’re upset about losing a tough game like we did Tuesday. We poured everything we had into that game. We looked at the film today and saw that the game came down to doing all of the little things. In games like this it’s more about having energy, running back on defense, rebounding and scrapping for loose balls. Those are the things that win big games in the Eastern Conference Finals. Right now, Boston is making those plays, but we know we can turn it around and swing things in our favor.”

10 days later ..................... aren't we feeling cocky ??

after game 3 vs cleveland, most of us on this forum were ready to break this team up and start over. i remember one comment full of trades that would net the Celts some younger athletic guys "that would probably make us a 40+ win team, but at least entertaining" was the way i think it went.

now, no one can touch us ??  i don't like all this arrogant talk from pierce or anyone else in green. this team has not handled prosperity all that well this season and i still don't completely trust them .......... and orlando can warm up in a hurry. they start bombing some 3's and this series can change quickly.

i, like most of you, feel a whole lot better about things than i did 10 days ago - but let's stay humble and focused for the time being.

i want #18 real bad and i don't want any mental lapses to break this team's defensive momentum.

The Four Celtic Generals:
Russell - Cowens - Bird - Garnett

The Four Celtic Lieutenants:
Cousy - Havlicek - McHale - Pierce

i think barnes can't physically stay with ray allen and all the running through screens he is going to do. i think his back is an issue and i think they would rather him try to bully pierce. but if boston defends and rondo attacks...the C's should be good. but they need to play like they are the ones down 2-0
