Why is Tom Thibodeau not a HC?

Two years ago it seemed that everyone wanted him.  Iguess that talk faded a bit.  I think he will be a great coach and if Doc does indeed step down at the end of this postseason I would love to see be named head coach.

I could see him stepping in and doing at least as well as Stan Van Gundy (a very underrated coach).  He could potentially be a great fit as a coach for Atlanta if they were able to resign Joe Johnson. 

Granted I don't want to lose him but it seems as if he would be as good as a Mike Woodson, or the guy Detroit hired last year.

I like what JVG had to say about him. GM's and owners are trying to win press conferences instead of basketball games.

I think he would be a great person to take over for Doc. As for the hawks, Joe Johnson had one foot out the door during the playoffs, he's not coming back to atlanta.
