I would love if the C's could jump up to # 12 to try and grab ekpe udoh(if he is still on the board) . I don't know what we could offer? Maybe #19 and BBD?

I wouldn't mind grabbing that # 25 pick either if they can't move up to #12. Grab a couple of prospects at #19 and #25 where danny does his best drafting.

I wouldn't trade BBD to move from 19 to 12.  I'm not sure there is much difference in this draft from player 12 to 19. We would be giving up a clutch playoff bench player for no reason imo.  I say we let Danny do his magic with the 19th pick.

I agree with bankshot on this one.  I would however trade BBD straight up for 12 and would probably consider something like 12 and 25/28 for 19 and BBD if that was necessary.

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah

I like Al Farouq Aminu as a prospect, but I don't think there is any way he drops past 7 or 8. But, regardless, whether we move up or not, I'd like to take a wing player with the pick, not a big man.

Clearly says they would trade all three for an impact player or would use all three to draft an impact player.

BBD isn't going to get one of these picks. They want to package them for an impact player preferably a veteran.

My guess here is they want a star wing player to replace Gay or to take the reigns at PG.

I agree, there is no way Big Baby gets it done. But, honestly, Memphis is not going to get an "impact" player for the 12 pick. I'd definitely be interested in moving up though.

I could see them moving these picks to New York for a signed and traded Tracy McGrady

Just seems like the kind of stupid move Chris Wallace would make

Yeah, I agree, unless Epke Udoh is still available at 12 ... I wouldn't be looking to trade up.

The talent level at 10-16 isn't great and not much better than the guys Boston are able to get in the 17-25 range.

Udoh is the only player who really interests me in that 10-16 range and he interests me a great deal. Being able to get him without giving up any of the starting five would be a huge coup.

I haven't read the article or the quote yet ... but by impact player I would expect they mean someone like Ronnie Brewer.

A quality role who can either start and play thirty minutes a night or be one of the better bench players in the league at his position. This message, the quote, was a similar message they were throwing around at midseason when they were looking to bolster to bench. That they were willing to give up a draft pick for a veteran (which became Brewer).

Which, I agree, isn't Glen Davis but I don't think they are talking about star talent either. Not a Rudy Gay replacement.

what about something like Jaric & 12 for Deng.

Saves Chicago 4 million or so this year (and gets them much closer to 2 max contracts) as well as a fairly high draft pick.

I believe this can work under the salary structure, as I think Memphis has just enough under the cap to absorb the 4 million more Deng costs.

Wasn't Jaric bought out/released by Memphis?

Wonder if they might entertain acquiring Beasley. Could help MIA clear a little more cap space (MIA could draft players with those picks but trade their rights for future picks, or sell them outright on draft night).

Scary trading a rotation guy without getting a rotation guy back.  Unless we are giving up on next season.

Whoever we draft we wont play anyway. i dont think this draft is deep enough to make a difference to move up 7 spots while trading a decent energy guy off the bench.
