Me too. I understand all the pros and cons of getting Nate I really do but it's hard for me to think objectively about that trade because I miss Eddie a lot - much more for his personality and what he did on the sidelines than what he gave us on the court. Maybe he can be next year's Tyronn Lue.
Tommy: He's got a line about me. Tell him the line.

Mike: Everybody 60 or over knows Tommy as a player. Everybody 40 or over knows Tommy as a coach. Everybody 20 or over knows Tommy as a broadcaster. And everybody 10 or under thinks he's Shrek.

uhhhhhhhh... it's really no difference. Eddie wouldn't play except for blowouts, and Nate only plays in blowouts. Once difference is that Nate doesn't blow wide open layups on the fast break because he's scared.

Really doesn't matter though because after the end of this season we won't have either. Nate won't re-sign here, and we probably wouldn't go after House. I'd love to see him sign with us in the offseason for vet minimum though.

Nate is my favorite cheerleader since ML Carr - and hey we're up 1-0 on a team we weren't even supposed to be playing, so I think things are ok

I do miss little House though...Eddie should drop him off for daycare with Scal

If the Celtics were to win the title would Eddie House get a ring for the 50 games he played for us this year?

Kind of like Nomar did when the Sox won in 2004.

I love eddie too but if he were still here, Tony wouldn't have had the chance to break out as he has done.   I enjoy watching Tony now.  You can tell there are times that the bad tony is whispering in the good tony's ear.  He almost makes a "bad tony" move but then he ignores the voice of "bad tony" and does the right thing.  Tony Allen has matured and filled the role we need him to play.  He is a great running mate for rondo.

I miss Eddie too and I think he would be very valuable for us in the ECF or in the Finals if we make it. I'm not sure he would play a lot of minutes so far in the playoffs but I would definitely more confident to have him as an option off the bench to shoot us right back in a game, hit a big shot or anything. His hustle and energy were contagious too.

House playoff numbers against the Magic last year were ridiculous.

He would definitely be playing and Rondo wouldn't need to be playing 44 minutes per game.

Yeah, I miss little House and big House. Nate is at least playing the little House role.

Eddie was the man.

Robinson and House are equally pitiful on defense. I don't think House would be playing right now. House's already poor defense had fallen off even further, imo.
Agreed -- House's decline defensively made him a comparable defender to Nate Robinson ... and Nate is a better offensive player.

Nate Robinson has also shot the ball better from the perimeter in both NY (37.5%) or Boston (41%) than House did in NY (25%) or Boston (38%) ... so this shooting specialty argument doesn't hold much weight either.

Nate Robinson is the better player and I would rather have him on the bench than Eddie House.

Completely agree with you Who.  I loved Eddie when he was here, but his days of being a three-point specialist in the NBA are over and Nate right now is the better player.  You can't come across better people than Eddie was.

As my family and friends call me the biggest Eddie House fan on earth, I had to chime in on this subject....

This trade finally has proven to be the joke that I knew it was all along.  Eddie was a contributor for the 08 and 09 Playoffs, Doc trusted him in the playoffs and he was proven to be a valuable asset in the playoffs who worked his butt off and did what was asked of him as well as knew his role. Why has Doc not played Nate?  Well,  he's done nothing in the regular season for us, and obviously he showed to Doc that he cant even play the minimum Defense that Eddie played enough to get himself on the floor.   All I heard about Nate was that he was a better shooter, better defender ect.  havent seen it yet. Nate is NOT a better player. Eddie would have played minutes for us, and helped this team win, unlike Nate...resign eddie this offseason please

Why has Doc not played Nate?

Clearly, it is his unwillingness to play younger players.

Im actualy not that unhappy to see house not playing in these playoffs, its given our celtic team a different outlook with a much larger lineup and most importently defensively we need tony allen more than we offensively need Eddie House.. and Doc Rivers has not been all known to be patient with his bench and i do firmly believe we would have seen much less of Tony Allen if House was still here, addition by subtration if you will.

All that said.. i do miss him, him and Leon Powe was people you just wanted to see do well and i actualy think that alot of the Celtic players miss him aswell
