In the last 6mins, I don't think Rondo had the legs to 1)keep up with JNelson 2)be agressive offensively and push the ball

Why couldn't Doc find some mins to rest Rondo when we were 18pts up?   :o

Doc needs to manage Rondo's mins better.

What are we saving him for?  It's the playoffs and he cam play the whole game if need be.

His poor decision making down the stretch would suggest otherwise. He also played full court defense for the first half but couldn't sustain it in the second.

True, but I prefer fresh legs in the closing mins of the 4th quarter.  Especially on the road.

That makes no sense at all.  Hasn't Rondo already proven to be the most valuable player on the team in these playoffs?  If anything, I want Rondo in there in the closing min of the 4th quarter.  Rondo is young and a good athlete.  He can run all day.

I don't think is surprising.  He routinely played 38-40 mpg in the regular season during close, important games.  To see him play more isn't shocking.

Also, I don't think he loses anything.  The kid is in phenomenal shape.  He barely breaks a sweat out there running around like a maniac.

Also, this is another reason why I thought that despite the fact that Nate Robinson was a good pickup, he ultimately wasn't going to mean much in the playoffs given Rondo's playing time (though I didn't think he'd play this little).

I agree: Rondo needs some rest now and then.  It's good to have  a few minutes to collect yourself, even if physically you could stay on the floor.

This should have been settled during the regular season.

If we make it to LA, it won't matter as much, but Nelson can be a whirling dervish.

We really can't afford to bring in Nate in important game situations at this point, you can't just slot yourself into the rotation in the conference finals and be able to function in the system.

Though Rondo is quite fine playing all this minutes, I think we and him would be better off with him playing a bit less.

And it has nothing to do with Nate.

You play TA a bit more, and throw in Marquis Daniels and play those 2 together for a bit. Those two in addition to Pierce in the 1-3 could do some good damage in a short stint, particularly when two of Redick/Nelson/Williams are on the floor.

I think this is a series in which Daniels inside game could be very damaging.

And he made poor decisions because he was tired? Doesn't make much sense to me.

Rondo plays long minutes every time when Pierce or Allen are in foul trouble -- and frankly, that's the lesser evil, because otherwise you have to overplay one of the other two and that will be worse.

I'd rather play Finley along with TA.  He's actually been in our rotation and he provides floor spacing which Marquis does not provide.  Having TA, Marquis, and Davis or Perk out there restricts our offense too much, not enough shooters.

just want to say you're awesome.  I thought I was the only person who remembered Jason Williams was White Chocolate for his first few years in the league.

See, I only spoke of the 1-3 positions. I didn't even mention Perk or Davis. Why couldn't it be Sheed and KG?

There flatly isn't a good reason to bring Nate Robinson into a game at this point unless it's garbage time - he doesn't pass the basketball and he couldn't guard me.

That trade was an absolute disaster.
