I don't think anyone can blame Nate for not breaking the rotation. He came from a system that is as opposite as you can get in that it doesn't preach defense at all. If Nate had a full season under his belt, I'm sure he would be able to effectively spell Rondo at times.

To be perfectly honest, it appears to me that Nate Robinson is a horrid fit for the Celtics. I'd much rather have House on the bench right now, not to mention Walker.

Now that we know that there is, in fact, a "switch", I'll feel much better with a mediocre regular season next year.  If that's what it takes to reach the playoffs rested and healthy, no problem.

I mean, it was a tough season to watch, but right now we have a realistic shot at a title along with the #19 pick in the draft.  That's not so bad, right?

I forgot about that draft pick. Nice bonus.  I don't think we completely shut down until the last 2 months, there were legitimate chemistry issues, injuries, etc. However, there was no real drive to get best record, given that we were such a good road team (and bad home team). When it became clear early in 2010 that we would never catch the Cavs, that's when we went into coast mode.

Yeah, if we're going to miss Eddie, it will be in this series.  Who can forget him dropping 31 against the Magic last season?  Overall, he was 26-for-42 (61.9%) in last year's playoff series against the Magic, shooting 9-for-15 (60.0%) from three.

I don't know, maybe it's just a case of Tony Allen emerging and Rondo needing to be in there for basically the full 48. There just isn't any room for Nate right now. Eddie's probably the better fit but it's not like we need either one of them at the moment. You could even argue that Finley's a better option than Eddie as a shooting specialist to play spot minutes because he's capable of occasionally creating a shot on his own, and also his height gives the Cs more defensive flexibility when he's in there than Eddie would have.

Neither Finley nor Robinson grab the attention of the defense like Eddie does - like Roy said he has the ability to come in a drop 30 in a game. But I'm pretty comfortable with the way the bench is playing right now.

Well, my thing is that next year I see this team winning at Least the same amount of games - maybe more.

We won't see a Limping KG. We'll have as close to a healthy KG (minus his natural decrease in production due to age) - as possible. Just this fact alone makes us contenders again next year, IMO.

I really find it hard to accept that we'll have a slate of injuries and other crazy stuff happen next year - like Glen's unfortunate thing that kept him out of the lineup for the first portion of the season.

I just think that the only thing slowing this team down next year is Age - but even with that it is not so bad.

Just let Rondo continue to do his thing. The young Man is not perfect, but he is Ready.

Plus - the NBA Landscape is fixing to change, Big Time. ATL won't be the same next year....ORL could change somewhat depending on the what happens with this series. MIA, TOR, and CLE will see some sort of change.

And Kobe will be a Year Older - Slower, too.

All of these uncertainties will play into the Celtic's favor, I think. No matter where Bosh, Wade or Lebron end up, they won't be instant contenders.

Even Boston may see change - depending upon how we compete up until Feb 2011. But IMO I think we'll keep our same core, as in our starting 5, at least. We need to get younger, though, and I'll leave that to Danny.

But for the most part, I'm just enjoying the ride so far. And the thought of sending Both ORL and LA (Especially LA) home, Unhappy Again - makes me Happy.

thanks for the snap judgment, I never said it was a negative that we beat the Cavs, Out of the tons of great things/feelings that come up from beating the Cavs and moving on, I thought my original point could be the one negative. I'm pessimistic by nature and it crossed my mind this morning. I thought it was an interesting thing to bring up while we are waiting for the series to begin.

As I said before, love House, but glad we moved away from him and actually gave Tony the opportunity he's currently given, which I prefer to an undersized 2nd unit. With House here that wouldn't have happened.

Of all our possibilities heading to the the playoffs, I wouldn't change this current 8 man rotation.

the only bad thing about the Celtics moving on is I've got at least another 2 weeks of late nights watching games, but I think the being a little sleepy for my 7:30 class is worth it =)
