Television gentlemen. The ECFs and WCFs  and Finals were set in stone weeks ago regardless of when the previous series started or ended. The Finals start June 3rd no matter what. If the C's want a rest, sweep the Magic.

Great game, right down to the cliffhanger ending!  One down...three to go.

do people realize that this team came out of a brutal series just 2 days ago....refocused...went on the road...and dominated a team that has only lost 4 times since Feb. and really boston didn't near the level they can
Yeah TP. That was huge effort after the Cavs series, but it's not like C's played the best they can. KG and Rondo had mediocre games and we still beat them. As long as we keep dominate defensively, it's should go our way.
The Immortals:

Iker Casillas, Giacinto Facchetti, Alessandro Nesta, Matthias Sammer, Javier Zanetti, Lothar Matthäus (c), Xavi, Zico, Maradona, Roberto Baggio, Ferenc Puskas, Karl Heinz Rummenigge

I thought KG rebounded and played some good D on Lewis, along with some good passing and screen setting. Terrible shooting though.

now that Rondo has supposedly been granted status as an alpha dog, he needs to understand that said status does not grant him the freedom to go on wild forays to the basket during crunch time when the game is on the line !!!!

The Four Celtic Generals:
Russell - Cowens - Bird - Garnett

The Four Celtic Lieutenants:
Cousy - Havlicek - McHale - Pierce

Although - we should expect Rondo and Garnett to have a harder time against the Magic. Howard prevents Rondo's penetration (except for that ridiculously hard bank-floater) and KG can't get those over the top catches that he was destroying Cleveland with.
Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

when orlando can't make 3s...they are a very average team....that is the key

actually - that may be the reason they were able to come in and win this game.

boston comes off the cleveland series still in combat mode with a ton of momentum and two days rest to get their legs back under them a bit. meanwhile, orlando has been sitting at home fat and happy with everyone telling them how great they are. they have experienced almost no adversity in a long time and then bam, they run into the Celtics.

Orlando's offense is built on dunks and threes.

By fouling Howard and preventing easy dunks for him and staying home on the shooters you disrupt their entire attack.

Rondo has to finish games better though. Its going to be a long wait till Tuesday, go for the throat guys!

true...but i look at what orlando did to atlanta after having  a week off...they beat them by 40   plus in game one....i expected boston to win this game. now if they can steal game 2...look out folks...they will get their best shot in game 2..if they can ride that out...good things
