Really sloppy half for both teams. Orlando looks off because of rust, missing a bunch of easy looks. Boston is just careless and seem out of sync. People will say it's the defenses, and maybe it is, but I see a bunch of dumb mistakes on both end and teams that just seem off offensively.

BTW, the refs letting the two teams play and swallowing their whistles favors Boston. If this is the way the series is called, tempers will eventually flair but Boston will get the benefits more so than Orlando.

Some thoughts:

We're having trouble guarding Vince.

Matt Barnes can't guard Ray Allen, as I thought.

KG vs Rashard seems to be a wash atm, with a slight edge to KG.

I'm fine with Vince going off.  We just need to continue to fluster Nelson and Howard.

Yeah its clearly the game plan to let Vince do his thing. We're trying to contain his initial penetration but if he gets in the lane we're only half-contesting. We don't want to waste our fouls on him -- gotta save those for Howard. That's why he's dunking it and laying the ball in a fair amount.
Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

I like the fact that they are up and that it's such a low scoring game, but they have to take better care of the ball and do a better job on offense...

pretty sure the magic are gonna make a run of some sort during the 3rd quarter, so the celtics better come back on the court agressive!

Also, when Howard goes out, they might think of both guarding and boxing out the "Polish Hammer" as Breen called him.

Tony Allen sure looks like he's going to get the MLE.

We have his birdrights, we can resign him without using the MLE.

All said and done, the C's won both quarters.

Magic 0-9 from 3 has helped -- some were very makeable. I like that C's perimeter defense has been solid.

Perk with a few costly plays.
Tony Tremendous is here.  Sheed making contributions.

Rajon will step it up in the 2nd half.

Perkins is killing us. His defense or lack there of is going to kill us when the Magic start hitting their shots. I'd play Wallace instead of Perkins from here on out in this game.

The Magic are a much better team with Gortat on the floor. They don't rebound as well but they do everything else better.

Tremendous halfcourt defense.

Ugly, ugly offensive performance - particularly Perkins, whose bad hands have cost us six easy points.
Coined the CelticsBlog term, "Euromistake."

I know, but who said we'll ofer him the MLE? He can get better money elsewhere.

That's what concerns me: if they hit the ones that were good looks the score is rather different...

overall though the c's defense has been the reason for the poor shooting by the magic

Magic is right, we should be up by 20 right now... I'm worried about the 2nd half, we gotta punch them in the face in the 3rd.

KG has to get going offensively too.
