Rotation vs Orlando

Do you guys see Doc using the same 7-8 man rotation against Orlando, or do you think that guys like Daniels or Robinson could provide some upside vs Orlando that they might not have provided against Cleveland?

I think it will be the same rotation. Same eight core guys (TA, BBD, Sheed).

And with Finley or possibly Nate as a situational sub as the ninth man.

The Magic have defended non-shooters very well so Doc may go with another shooter off the bench on the perimeter. I don't think Daniels sees any time. Finley will be first choice but Nate might be able to get some time if Doc doesn't like what he sees.

Well Perk is going to be busy with superman there, and they will probably favor him over perk...that is what they did after he complained a lot at Atlanta..got to the point where he pushed pachula, so they called a foul on pachula....Sheldon would be good help on the boards, but seeing as though his play embarrasses doc because he looks too good to be sitting, doc won't play him, so bbd better bring that low level game of his and get those dern rebounds, God help us if BBD could actually elevate with a rebound and dunk..like Leon Powe or Sheldon can, without a step ( in BBDs case 10 steps, a small ladder and a bucket of chicken on the rim)( or a small trampoline!) TA on Vince maybe, or MD would stop him i still like to rotate
PP and Ray, so that neither is on the floor at the same time, their D is...iffy sometimes, but when they are hitting, well, that is different, doc needs to see that, and he has kept them....not together so much, they are sort of the same type now, same catagory, hot veteran, or slow D guy.....i mean not really slow...but sometimesss...you know....sheed was mean in that series, Serious-Sheed...a dunking, rebounding, player slapping man ....that is what we need from him..he still has it in him..!!!

Agreed. If anything another floor spacer might need short minutes.

I really don't want  Finley out there outless he is knocking down threes  which he has not really been doing? Daniels could cover Vince remember Vince is not as player he used to be but he still have crazy range on his shoot...can still drive the basketball...

A little off topic...but Barnes on Ray has to be good for us, right?....not to mention that Carter is not a great defender...I'm sure PP can get his 18-20 points per game going against him.

This series even more than last has got to come down to Ray/Pierce racking up points, and perimeter defense.
If they can get it going against their poor defenders(Vince,Peitrus,Barnes,Reddick) then it leaves KG to post up Lewis and defend him.

series comes down to 3 things

1. KG must defend the 3 on lewis and must take him into the post like he did vs the cavs

2. perk has to hold his own man up on howard

3. rondo must defend nelson..esp on the 3 and the transition jumper


not worried really about celtics offense....if they play defense they win this series

Barnes is a good rebounder, but I think ORL would be better off with Pietrus and Carter at SF.

i think Pierce will contribute more in this series cuz theres no lebron in this series =P...Pierce ppg will go up by like 2 or 3...VC doesnt play D, but his offense is still pretty scary...but Ray shouldnt be underestimated either...in my opinion VC gotten a little chubby >.>...Ray should be able to outrun him...Dwight, this year we are prepared...we have 4 bigs vs him this year...not afraid...

i expect the matchup to be Rondo vs Jameer...now i would bring marquis or nate out to be secondary pg to guard jameer...

I like the idea of playing small for 10-15 mpg, which would likely either mean more minutes for Finley or adding Daniels into the rotation. 

Why?

Because Perk, Wallace, and Davis got themselves into foul trouble against Cleveland.  It'll likely be worse against Howard.  Moreover, while Rashard Lewis is tall, he largely plays like he's 6-5. 

So if Perk gets two quick fouls, I wouldn't mind seeing TA come in for him, slide KG onto Howard and Pierce onto Lewis.  That way we can save Wallace and Davis from early foul trouble and we can also save KG from having to chase around Lewis.

Again, I wouldn't do this for long stretches, but 10 mpg or so could help.

KG covering Howard is a disaster for us. Kg doesn't have the strength to deny Howard position. It would be either a dunk, foul, or and1 eight times out of 10.
