The Cavs owner has just come out and said theyre standing behind Mike Brown.... for now......

....what does that mean??  I think it means.....we're waiting to see if Lebron wants a new coach.

I'm hoping Shaq leaves Cleveland this summer and the Cavs fall off next season...I wouldn't mind seeing Shaq in Boston but at his age he couldn't start here.

Brown is gone.  Period.  It may not be 'official' yet but he is gone.

The Cavs are going to do their best to make a major roster overhaul this offseason.  Hickson, AV, West, Mo, Jamsion will all be on the table.

I'd take a flyer on Delonte were he to become available, as a back up 1 and 2. What is his salary? Can we fit into our space?

i wouldn't blame James if brown gets fired.  If doc coached a series like that we'd all be calling for his head.

I can't recall ever seeing a coaching performance as poor as Mike Brown's in that last series. Not from a coach with a contender under his watch.

Mike Brown deserves to be fired. For cause, incompetence.

Something Max said made me rethink whether Brown is an awful coach or not.  He said that Brown was a good coach, he was just searching for matchups that might work.  None of his lineups were really working (except game 3) so he was desperately trying different people trying to find what would work.  Unfortunately for Brown, the Celtics were just a better team and there was really not much he could do.

Why?  He was terrible in the playoffs because the Celtics stayed on his left hand. He was exposed for the lousy ballhandler that he is.  Not sure why other teams don't do this to him.

West would be a good fit assuming we added someone to play backup SF - West couldn't handle defense against a SF. He's excellent against SG, has a nice shot, and is a good enough ball handler to play PG for the 10 MPG Rondo is out.

I think they need to figure out what the roster will look like next year before investing in searching for a new coach. I can't imagine a new coach will make that much of a difference if Lebron leaves. The team looks like it could be in bad shape for a while if that happens.

Doesn't anybody think that Lebron wants to sign with a team that lacks a coach? I'm sure this will come up when he talks to the team about re-signing. I could see them keeping Brown if Lebron wants them to.

Otherwise, might as well can him.

When they let all of that time go off the clock without fouling in the last 1:30 they were waving the surrender flag.

It looked like Brown knew his fate in the 4th quarter.

Yup, that was a pitiful display. Announcers were shocked by the Cavs just giving up and not fouling. It would have taken a miracle for them to win at that point, but most teams would have at least tried.
Varajeo was looking to the bench in shock that his coach wasn't calling for a foul!
I wouldn't worry too much about Mike Brown, he'll get another job. Even Isaiah keeps finding jobs!
