Well there's a press conference with the owner at 2:30 on ESPN if not mistaken.

Frankly, I find unsavory the thought of any player, LeBron or otherwise, having so much sway over the firing of a coach and the hiring of his replacement.

A franchise catering to a single player's wishes is a recipe for disaster, IMO.

And yet, it seems that any team mentioned as a possible destination for LeBron has a head-coaching vacancy that, presumably, must be filled with the "right" coach in order to seal the deal and deliver LeBron.

What's next? Hiring friends to front office positions? Ownership stake in the team? GM position immediately on retirement?

If you are the GM and you let Lebron fire the coach, you might as well resign after you sign him.

I agree. But if he was a good coach, would they have lost this series? Obviously I'm not taking any credit away from the celtics, since I'm one of the guys thats sick of hearing how the Cav's lost it instead of hearing how the Celtics won. But honestly, having back to back 60 win seasons and losing in the playoffs before reaching the finals both times isn't exactly something to write home about.

I can't recall ever seeing a coaching performance as poor as Mike Brown's in that last series. Not from a coach with a contender under his watch.

Mike Brown deserves to be fired. For cause, incompetence.

Well, he may get fired today, but he will still come into his former office with his nameplate removed every day for the next 2 weeks until he finally makes the adjustment to the change

When they let all of that time go off the clock without fouling in the last 1:30 they were waving the surrender flag.

It looked like Brown knew his fate in the 4th quarter.

For Cleveland's sake, I hope there are other people than LeBron that can see that Brown is not a good coach.

LOL.

Brown did a terrible job coaching the series. He did an OK job coaching the year. His main advantage has been a decent defensive coach + having the best player. I don't think you can let players fire coaches though and I don't think the GM should get a pass. He's like me late night ordering appetizers at a bar - sure you like Wings, Casedillas, Fried Shrimp, Nachos, etc. - but they don't make a meal. /BGS type analogy.

It all comes down to what Lebron wants.

Should have been done awhile ago. Guy totally went with what was working in the regular season and tossed it in the trash. I mean Hickson was really playing well for them and he didn't even see the floor really in the playoffs. Then Big Z came back and everyone made a big deal out of it and he could have stretched the floor and made it easier for lebron to drive but that went out the window too. IDK I knew the cavs didn't have a good enough team to win it all but they had a chance to beat us if the right moves were made and they weren't.. Bad bad BAD coaching job.

The Cavs owner has just come out and said theyre standing behind Mike Brown.... for now......

....what does that mean??  I think it means.....we're waiting to see if Lebron wants a new coach.
