The NBA testing program isn't exactly rigorous.

I wouldn't be confident any NBA isn't able to get away with serious PED use.

Come on guys.  DHEA is NOT a steroid.  It is a precursor that can be purchased at GNC for goodness sakes.

Rashard was suspended for takig DHEA which I have taken off and on for years.

His suspension was a complete and utter joke given the FACT that many stars have used or are using REAL steroids/HGH:  see Lebron, Dwight, etc. -- I know he is not a star, but likely Perk.

DHEA is not a steroid based on a technicality and great lobbying by their constituants.  It is dumbfounding to most people based in the medical field how it has not been reclassified.

"But unlike every other substance in the steroid family, the supplement, DHEA, is not classified as a controlled drug. In fact, the chalky white pills and capsules enjoy an exemption under federal law, thanks to a bill passed by Congress late last year.

How DHEA, or dehydroepiandrosterone, came to enjoy legal protections granted by Congress - at the very moment that steroid abuse was grabbing national headlines, and just months before Congress itself held hearings on the use of body-building drugs in professional baseball - is a study in skillful political maneuvering, according to participants in the deal.

Sports officials had favored an overall ban on steroids and related pills, like DHEA, which is banned by the Olympics, the World Anti-Doping Agency, the National Collegiate Athletic Association, the National Football League, the National Basketball Association and baseball minor leagues.

If you have seen Lewis play at all this year he is a completely different player.  Remember last post-season when Pierce had to switch onto Lewis and he would just back him down into the post.  Look at his rebounding numbers or energy in general.  Lewis is a shell of his former "Steroid or DHEA" self and it shows.

Does DHEA actually have the effect that we would see a significant drop off in his playing ability? I heard he just has the flu, and not coping with it too well...

How enthusiastic is the Magic front office feeling about the $66 million they owe this guy over the next 3 years?
