Here's my take on Lebron:
* Big mistake taking a lefty free throw... made an issue out of a non-issue (mediawise) and gave info to the C's
* Clearly bothered physically and mentally - impossible to tell how much - remember Al Jefferson just being an ankle faker? Then they finally found bone spurs?
* The pressure of free agency: Lebron, Wade, Bosh - none had great years. There is a reason a lot of good guys never hit FA - since they can get max money at home, they just extend and don't have to worry about it.
* The guy is a great player - he's the first guy in the league I would take to start a franchise right now, and he's the first guy on my team to play the aliens for the fate of the world.
* This series almost seems tragic - Greek Style - a glorious worry, who's arete had become hubris (not developing his 3 ball or post game) and brought down by events beyond his control (no second banana, bad coaching, elbow) - and forced to realize his own mortality and limitation....
* Where will he go? Who knows... either way the story of Lebron will end up compelling. Frankly he's too good IMO to not eventually win a title. As an NBA fan I hope this motivates him to add some post moves... as a C's fan who thinks they can squeeze out another year or two - I hope its not until he's 28.
