i know he's not the best offensively, but why dont we at least get him some touches. with all the focus on rondo and then now on the big three i think Perk could get some easy touches if in the right spot.

i dont get why we dont go to him at least some. i think he could at the least draw some fouls. the few times we went to him this series he finished or drew and 1s.

be it this series or the next if we do advance...i think we need to incorporate him into our offense or its going to bite us in the butt.

I think you incorporate Perk selectivly based on matchups, as you correctly pointed out, he doesn't have much of a go to game.

I'm not sure that Perk vs Shaq, as much as shaq's lost a step, is a good matchup for the C's to go to offensively as part of the gameplan.

Much rather stick to exploiting the fact that Mo and Jamison can't guard Rondo/Ray and KG to save there lives for this series.

Because offensively he's not all that efficient on post ups. He has a very high turnover percentage out of an iso post up.

The offense becomes stagnant when Perk gets post touches.

Since mid december he's been atrocious in the post, turning it over and generally slowing the pace to a stand still.
Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

Well, i believe anyone on the team that is out there should get some plays directed to/for them.....perk used to be a strong offensive weapon, he stopped dunking...??? Why..? He looks like he went to the Glenn Davis school of jumping..!

at times but ive seen him do well kicking out to Ray or Pierce for threes

all im saying is itd be nice to see him get a few more touches, the key i think is for all of us to be involved and switch it up like weve been doing offensively.

You are right, he doesn't get nearly as many dunks anymore.  He doesn't really get wide open anymore.  I was thrilled with Perk early in the season, but it seems like he clicked offensively for a couple months, then went back to the normal Perk.  I'm fine with Perk just playing D and rebounding.

If Perk gets more touches, then the Celtics are probably going to lose.

IN slowed-down playoff games, you really can't afford to waste possessions. Let me rephrase in a nicer way: you must use possessions judiciously, and going to Perk of all our options in this series is not a smart choice.

That said, if we make it to Orlando, I'd like to see them go out early with a Perkins postup or two. Just to keep him guessing/try to get a foul. But in this series, we don't really care if Shaq is in foul trouble.

  • Rondo = Good
Because the only touch he gets is when he tips the ball out of bounds after mishandling a pass or when he grips the ball as he takes one step too many in the post before dunking it.

It's been too long since he's had the same decisiveness or assertiveness on offense that he had earlier in the season.

The only time lately that Perk looks good on offense is when he has a mismatch, like at the end of last game when he was being defended by Powe.

It would be good to give perk a few looks early in the game, maybe that will bring his good offense back....and I would let him take his 10 footer....if sheldon was in there, because he would be there for the rebound....or hopefully someone..!  There should always be someone interested in those rebounds......they are VERY important to winning..and since Leon had to go, sheldon has been the only one VERY interested in getting them,,,,well rondo and sometimes TA..but i know i say the sheldon thing all the time...but it is still true..!  At least docv isn't playing scal instead of him..!
