and Ray Allen was invisible on the OFFENSIVE end tonight---Thank you TA and Rasheed--!!
True, but Ray spent a lot of time guarding LeBron.

I can't believe I was relieved elbowgate was finally over completely forgetting it would mean the start of the even worse free agency speculation. Facepalm.
Tommy: He's got a line about me. Tell him the line.

Mike: Everybody 60 or over knows Tommy as a player. Everybody 40 or over knows Tommy as a coach. Everybody 20 or over knows Tommy as a broadcaster. And everybody 10 or under thinks he's Shrek.

and THIS was a better Cavs team than 2008---a series that went 7 games---in which we had Home Court---I feel pretty good about our chances going forward now.

Hrm. I hadn't thought of that.

Unfortunately Orlando is a lot improved, as well, especially with Nelson.
McHale's favorite ruse is putting paper in the mouths of sleeping teammates. "Try using one of these cocktail napkins," he said. "When just the edge sticks out of a guy's mouth, it looks like he's got fangs. The best part is when he wakes up."

The only thing that makes this a little bitter sweet is that laker fans will use this to justify their belief that kobe is better than lebron.

Well, we have the better TEAM and that's all that matters. But let's take care of Orlando first before we go there...

I have to get to bed, it's almost 6 am here.

Sleep tight, fellas. Bring on the Magic - GO CELTICS!

KG just said that, knowing what he knows now about the Celtics organization, if he had it to do all over again, he would have come here to Boston much sooner than he did. Kind of says it all as to how he feels about this city and this team. :)

I'd consider the Hedo for Carter swap a wash.
Jameer is a big step up.
And Barnes is an improvement over Lee but i don't see him being a huge difference.

For us i'd say that...
BBD who started for us last year is not the 4th big in the rotation.
KG will get rid of the Rashard mismatch they had ALL of last year's series.
Sheed can spot Perk because of his defensive ability.
TA has developed into a nice counter-action for scoring wings (Wade, Lebron)

I tried to monitor the game this evening from time to time while I was in class on breaks.

Truely a Great Win. Here it is nearly 1:00 a.m. in the morning, and there is very little fanfare on ESPN about what just happened.

This has got to be one of the biggest upsets in the last several years - I'd place it with Dikembe and Denver taking down Shawn Kemp and Seattle waaaayy back in what the 90's? Golden State beating Dallas a few years ago?

I just think that because we have a Team concept - a True Team concept, that makes it impossible for ESPN to gloat over one player.

CLE had Lebron. LA has Kobe.

We have KG, Ray, Pierce, TA, Sheed, Perk, Rondo, Glen, Finley, etc.

I guess I will be a little less rough on ESPN. They just cannot market True Teamwork, I guess.

The Muppet Show is Officially on hold again this year, and for that I am glad.

Was at the game tonight. The crowd was fantastic and I think it especially helped give the C's energy tonight on defense. Was wonderful to see Rondo and Garnett dismantle the Cavs, coupled with Tony Allen's defense on Lebron. Oh and the place went ballistic during the 4th q run ending in KG's dunk. Good times. And I never thought I would like Sheed but his play this series won me over.

The Garden Crowd must show up tonight energized (and drunk if old enough). It does help the players. None of this "Everybody clap your hands" phoniness. Need to boo every Lebron touch (Or a Lebron ______s chant).

Tonight is a must win not so much for this series but for our future series against Orlando and than presumably the Lakers. A big win here gives us momentum for the key series against Orlando.

Good Luck, and yes I promise to make the Celtics win at the risk of causing a major earthquake by jumping on the faultlines too hard during the game. Not even 9:00AM here and this Q is locked in.

It feels really good to keep your promises in times like these. Both teams had nothing left in the final 4 minutes of this brutal NBA playoff contest. Both teams gave it all they had and left very little in the locker room or the bench. So I say congratulations to both teams and I look forward to the Orlando game Sunday.
The beatings will continue until morale improves
