Thursday's game is huge.  If they win on Thursday they could seriously win a championship...forget Orlando.

As ecstatic as I am over this win, I just want a win on thursday night. Close it out in Boston, I don't want any slip-ups. I don't want any part of the refs in a game 7 in Cleveland. End it on Thursday, that's got to be there mindset.

It would be VERY disappointing to see the focus slip Thursday night after a game as zeroed on as you'd ever want to see tonight.

With a veteran club, I expect a high level of focus Thursday night. Cleveland has the challenge. They looked pretty downtrodden in the second half.
agreed.  I'm hoping that if the C's come out with that same focus next game and can get a double-digit halftime lead (ever the optimist) that they just might break Cle's spirit and get them to fold if they can hold serve well into the 3rd quarter.  Of course they've still got to play well to start the game.

Lebron doesn't ever really quit until at least the 4 minute mark of the 4th. I don't think this cavs team is the type to break completely. Its more likely that we'll see a repeat of game 2 than the Cavs just quitting. Although I would love to see that. So so much.
Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

Yeah, as fantastic as this win was tonight, I still believe it'll be nigh impossible for the Celtics to win Game 7 in Cleveland.  They need to close it out in Game 6.  KG has it right.  Game 6 is Game 7.

The Cavs are not going to win in six as I predicted. I am actually stunned right now. How long before the national media starts talking about Lebron's elbow again? What a team win. True definition of a team tonight.

Fratello was talking about it in the first quarter, and it was the first question the press asked him in the post-game interview ... credit to LBJ, he could've taken the bait and used it as an excuse, but he didn't.

What scares me is half the world is going to be calling out LeBron's effort...  And if he gets peeved off and decides to prove everyone wrong that still sticks in the back of my mind.

This series is NOT over yet...  Having a guy like Larry on our team (for one) should remind us of such...

We have a guy named Larry on our team?

I'm really not concerned about James, quite frankly.

Tonight is a vivid illustration of how this team can perform when it puts the pieces of the game together. Frankly, if we'd played a halfway decent second half in the first game, this series is over.

Right now.

Uh, I think Lebron is going to throw everything he has at us Thursday. So will the rest of his mates. But I think the Celtics now have the confidence do shake off the Cleveland runs that are certain to come Thursday night. But then again, this has been one strange series where you expect one thing and get something completely different. Apparently, Cleveland is just as inconsistent as we are. Heck, the whole league is just as inconsistent as we are.
The beatings will continue until morale improves

We did...  You're scaring me, unless this is sass (in case you've never heard of him his last name was "Bird").  It was metaphorical for "superstar / assassin / cornerstone" type player that you never count out.  Like it or not, LeBron is THAT type of player who can turn around and drop 40+ on us in the next game and take this thing back to Cleveland.

What also concerns me is KG's comments after tonight's game (to David Aldridge).  If we lose game 6, I'm not sure we can overcome the mental hurdle provided the quote from KG tonight in which these guys aren't sure they could win a game 7 on the road in Cleveland...

Good Point. We can win in CLE again, but KG certainly understands the urgency here.

Oh, I'm sure this team is confident they can win in Game 7 if necessary.  KG just knows that they really can't let themselves think that's even an option.  They need to have a closer mentality on Thursday, they need to believe this is their last chance because otherwise they won't try as hard as they can and they'll allow Cleveland to snatch back the momentum.
