Presumably, because John Paxson can't reach high enough to punch him in the face.

Surprised to see him angling for a gig already but his record as a coach suggests that might be a good fit.

Hahah...nice one.

Maybe he just wants to work with Noah.  Kid seems like he has a lot of potential and the right attitude, as much as we love to hate him around here.

I really hope we can have a shot at getting McHale here if Doc doesn't come back next year.

Maybe part of McHale's interest in the Chicago job is that he knows Doc Rivers will be back next year. Just saying!

Noah defensively has the potential to be all world...I wonder if McHale though wants to work with someone who has such a low offensive ceiling.

He ought to be looking at the Nets job. Brook Lopez, Yi (if he stays), or if they don't draft Wall or Turner...

I think that is probably the best available coaching gig out there, so I don't blame him.  They have a young potential superstar PG, one of the best defensive centers in the league, one of the better defensive SF's in the league, a bunch of cap room, and another movable contract (or valuable 6th man) in Hinrich.  With the right moves, they could very well become contenders as early as next year.

Of course, I would prefer McHale didn't get the gig, since I would prefer him either on TV, or taking over for Doc if he leaves.

Imagine Kevin McHale somehow ending up as Coach of The Boston Celtics - maybe down the road.

I would hardly be able to contain my laughter with that scenario as we play Minnesota - and I see Kurt Rambis on the sidelines over there.....

I'd be openly campaigning for the Chicago HC gig too.

Its a very attractive position.
