I've started following the NBA quite recently (around 2007) so I don't have a lot of years of watching behind me, but this is by far the most boring playoffs I've seen. What are you feelings/thoughts about these playoffs?

So far, I can think of only 3 games really worth the excitement of the playoffs : game 3 between Boston/Miami (Pierce's buzzer), Game 6 of Lakers/Thunder (wild finish) and game 3 of Lakers/Jazz (close till the end and wild finish too). That's 3 games out of... I don't know much, but a lot.

Plus, of course, there were 3 sweeps out of 4 series in the 2nd round! How boring is that? I usually enjoy watching games other than the Celtics' in the playoffs but this year... not so much.

Anyone else disappointed in the playoffs so far? Of course we still have the Cavs/Celtics series to cheer on, but even in this series, although close because it's 2-2, the games have not been great (two blowouts, one OK game and an excellent one - game 4 but it's more for Rondo's performance than anything else).

I feel like there has been no suspense and thrills at all in the playoffs so far, sure the Suns sweep was a surprise but the series wasn't competitive so not fun. Of course you can't ask for a series like the first round against Chicago last season every year, but so far the drama of the playoffs has been really missing, it's kind like of watching the scores day after day and seeing that the teams that were supposed to advance (L.A and Orlando) are advancing easily.

Here is hoping for exciting conference finals and then exciting finals!

Well, considering the fact that it's looking overwhelmingly likely that the Finals will be a rematch of last year, I'd say that yes, the playoffs have been kind of boring so far.

Certainly there hasn't been anything that compares to the C's first round series last year, or even the C's second round series.  Only one series has even gone to 7 games so far, and that was uninteresting because both teams were clearly pretenders (and the winner went on to get swept).

I'm hoping the conference finals will be a different story, but the WCF could be pretty one sided considering the matchup, and the way the Magic are playing compared to the C's and the Cavs I wouldn't be surprised if the ECF weren't all that close either.

I think there have been four good series out of twelve.

The (1) Thunder vs Lakers series (2) Mavs vs Spurs series (3) Spurs vs Suns series (4) Celtics vs Cavs.

I don't like the NBA making the playoffs longer. I thought it was better with a best of five series to kick things off. The playoffs last too long nowadays ... takes a lot of the drama out of it.

I thought the first round was exciting, but the second has been horrible. I was going to post a topic asking if people thought this was one of the best playoffs in recent memory during the first round. Most of those series were played close except for a couple. Lakers/Thunder  Bulls/Cavs  Bucks/Hawks  Spurs/Mavs
Suns/Blazers were fun games to watch. Of course Boston/Heat was because it was our team. But if wasn't a fan of Boston I don't think I would have been too excited about it.

But the second round has been garbage all around(except for Boston/Cavs). The conference finals could be good depending if the Suns can hang with LA, but I'm not going to hold my breath.

As far as I can remember it is.

I thought the NBA was where amazing happened? Where was all that? How can there be three series where a team got swept? How boring is that?

I enjoy game 7's or even 6's. I'm just mad because everything is so bland.

I'm glad that our series is way more entertaining than the rest. If it wasn't for our series, I dunno if I'd be watching the playoffs this year.

The first round was so much better, with Thunder fighting really hard against the Lakers. THAT series was fun to watch.
Yeeeaaaa!!!

I have a feeling that tonight's game is going to pick things up, peception-wise, of these playoffs.

I could be totally wrong (been that way in the past) but I think tonight could be one of those epic games.

These final 2/3 games of this Cavs vs Celtics series will probably be the best remaining games of these playoffs

Between Rondo's Game 4 performance and tonight's dismantling of the Cavs, safe to say these playoffs have already given me all I could possibly have hoped for and more.

I'm going to respectfully disagree that it's overwhelmingly likely that the Magic will make the Finals.

I read somewhere that there haven't been three second round sweeps since the lockout season.

Is that a jab? Or a genius reverse jinx? I hope its the latter

Back to the topic, Its not boring as long as Celtics are playing. If Celtics get eliminated I simply stop watch.

The Bucks - Hawks first round series was pretty fun.  And we Celtics fans currently get the joy of watching the funnest series yet in this years playoffs...but in just a few words, yes this has been a boring playoffs compared to previous years.

Biggest disappointment: Denver Nuggets, followed by the Western Conference semis.

Other then that, the East has gone mostly like it was meant to..with the exception of us leading Cleveland after 5.

The Thunder-Lakers was entertaining. The Blazers-Suns was entertaining..

The Celtics are still playing. If this is boring I can't wait to see exciting.

Even though the Suns swept the Spurs and the Lakers swept the Jazz, most of those games were pretty close.
