  • It's not hard to work hard.
Celts wasted a bunch of defensive stops there at the end, but hung tough. They need to execute a little better on the offensive end and keep the intensity up on D. So far so good.
McHale's favorite ruse is putting paper in the mouths of sleeping teammates. "Try using one of these cocktail napkins," he said. "When just the edge sticks out of a guy's mouth, it looks like he's got fangs. The best part is when he wakes up."

Too bad Rondo shot it too late.

Down 3, the D is pretty good but we missed easy shots or turned the ball over stupidly, gotta be more focused.

Need more than that from Rondo - real non-factor in the first period.
Coined the CelticsBlog term, "Euromistake."

Rondo is not playing up to par tonight. Not a good sign for the C's.

He's focused on our half court offense, not our transition offense.  I'm hoping that the plan tonight is to establish our other players and then run them out of the building in the second half.  I'm tired of watching the Cavs come back in late 3rd/early 4th.

I think Pierce has given us a little more this quarter than he has the whole series.

He needs to get to the line more, though.

Both teams up and down so far -- neither shootig particularly well.  C's should feel OK down 3.

Would love to see us stay with them this quarter and keep Perk on the bench. Baby must play a role and Pierce has to hit his shots.

Pierce is now something like 18-56 in this series. That is not going to get it done and they really need him tonight if they want to win this game.

Lousy FT shooting team now 6-6.   They'll miss at some point.

Yea, you could see he was trying to get Paul and KG involved early on... But he needs to drive more
