Just read this article on Yahoo by Arian Wojnarowski:

Coach Doc Rivers had watched two days of lousy preparation, poor practices and he feared the worst for Game 3.

Has anyone else seen it written anywhere that the Celtics weren't preparing well before Friday?  I was stunned by that.

So, umm, has Doc said what he fears for today?

I think we're all at least a LITTLE surprised by the team's lack of fire and urgency in Game 3.  Could this team really win one game in Cleveland and feel like they could coast into the ECF, resting on their laurels?

I was shocked when Doc made those statements after the game because prior to the game KG had said the complete opposite to the media.

The announcers said the same thing during the game. That Boston had been practicing poorly over the three day break.

hard to think this team would get so sloppy with home court regained. i am just hoping today is  different.

I am imagine the poor practices were just a response to KG's + Perk's injuries.

I doubt it was the team checking out mentally.

It's hard to know what the truth is when you hear these kind of statements. Doc is not going to say too much negative to the media pregame if his past is any indicator. He will blast the team on occaision postgame, but not so much in the playoffs. This tells me we are getting a writers opinion or a partial quote.

The fact that KG is quoted as saying the team is working hard is not always a good measure of the whole team attitude IMO. He is a motivated guy and plays/practices with real intensity, but he is often oblivious to his teammates when it comes to their mental state. I think he just assumes they will follow his lead and in many cases they do, but not always.

I do not put too much weight into one game here just because Lebron had a hot nite. He is a superstar, these things can and will happen. I do not think we are 'done', nor do I think Paul Pierce is 'done' after one performance by the Cavaliers.

All of this media chatter about poor practice and bad player/team performance will disappear if when we win the next game. Then it will start again as soon as we lose another game.....predictable most of the time.
