Nope ... we need Perk. I say activate Scal for a game, and use him to lay a nice "clothesline" a la Kevin McHale on LeBron ... not to hurt the guy seriously, but just to send a message.

I thought Perk delivered a nice hard foul on Lebron in the last game - and against that arm that is miraculously cured.

He was even called for a flagrant as he threw his entire body into him. A flagrant is not going to stop Lebron from attacking.

Instead you've got to play great defense and close down the paint. If Lebron goes bananas from the perimeter there is nothing you can do.

I thought Perk delivered a nice hard foul on Lebron in the last game - and against that arm that is miraculously cured.

He was even called for a flagrant as he threw his entire body into him. A flagrant is not going to stop Lebron from attacking.

Instead you've got to play great defense and close down the paint. If Lebron goes bananas from the perimeter there is nothing you can do.

ah yeah there is. You can yank down his arms when he goes up for the jumper. He hit how many in a row in game 3 its ridiculous. You have to play him physical and have fresh guys rotate on him all game.

No we should not go after the elbow that would be dirty play.
 
We should try to be more physical manning him up. Dont be afraid to foul him hard especially near the rim. Just go for the ball and if there is contact make sure he doesnt get a shot up.

So you're saying we should get further into foul trouble by intentionally fouling Lebron's jump shots from 20 feet away from the basket? Lebron would end up shooting 40-50 foul shots and all of our guys would foul out. I'll pass on that plan.

I'd rather just pack the paint and the strong side of the court and play good, aggressive, team basketball.

Lebron apparently can get flagrant 1 calls by running into people and falling down as they try to get out of the way in this series.  I suspect a flagrant 2 would have to be *actually* fouling Lebron while he is in the act of being Lebron.  So, just any flagrant 2 won't work.  This means that we need a McHale clothesline, and someone is going to sacrifice his NBA career for that.  Sheed, I choose you.

completely agree. said it in the game thread last night. Cavs up by 30 and Lebron is still out there being animated and arguing about calls, someone needs to knock him down. doesn't need to be malicious, but this team needs to show they have some balls and aren't afraid of the leagues "Lebron protection Act"

they will not win this series if Lebron continues to have no second thoughts about cruising into the paint every possession.

Nah they wont foul out. Yes though If a player is hitting jumpshots right over the top of the defender and they are all going in. I would foul on a jumpshot. Especially if I could get both arms right across his arms hard.

Sure they may shoot free throws. Lebron is going to get all questionable calls anyway so why not make them good hard fouls. Thats playoff basketball.
