Honestly, I just keep thinking this is what we all should have expected to happen.

Once again the Celtics manage to make me feel foolish for believing in them, even just a little.

they do make it so tough to believe. they look great one game and like a lottery team the next. just frustrating to watch

You can believe in their uneven play. It's games like this that will prevent them from going any further than the Orlando series. And they'll be lucky to get there.

They won't.

I now believe beyond a shadow of a doubt they won't get there.  Winning both games this weekend of vital, and tonight they lost more than one game, they lost any momentum or mental advantage they had.  I'll be happy if the C's win one more.

hoping they get game 4...that at least gets a 6th game....4-1 would be a bitter disappointment

Yeah, I just hope they can have more success than the freaking Bulls did.  If they can push it to 6 games it won't be an embarrassment (even despite tonight's miserable performance).

I can't even describe how bummed I am. Less we lost but how we lost. The step forward two steps back dance is draining for me. I'm tired of us constantly failing to capitalize on any ground we gain.

The worst part is how yet again it seemed that the games in which we need to come out with the most urgency are the ones in which we start out on the worst possible note. How is it possible we lost a chance to go up 2-1 know how hard it was to get 1 win out of the 1st 2 games.

Sigh. 3 in a row isn't impossible with how inconsistent both teams have been. So here's hoping for a win the next game and the next and the next. Maybe we'll finally recognize the wake up call that has been kicking us in the shins all season

The Celtics have already "flipped their switch."  This is as good as they're gonna be.

I get you though.  I'm sick of the back and forth, too.  I tried to temper my expectations as much as possible but I still feel pretty duped by the Celtics.  I never believed they were going to just totally fall apart in their first game at home.  It's simply disgusting.

They sure haven't made it easy.  Oh well.  We'll be longing for this 50-win season a couple years from now when the Celtics are on the downward slide into rebuilding and the most optimistic we can be is to hope they get a top 3 pick.

one thing I'll say is, it wasn't the refs tonight, sure they weren't great, but not the difference maker by a long shot

amen....just horrible...now boston has to win twice in cleveland..which isnt happening

it will be extremely difficult, but it COULD happen.  of the 8 qtrs played in cleveland thus far, the celtics have outplayed the cavs 6 of them.

Doesn't matter if they can't win in Boston

I just can't put my head around what would give this team, during this season, the idea that they could have fat heads coming into a playoff game. One win in Cleveland evidently made them think the rest of the NBA would lay down. WOW.

Obviously game 4 is a must win.  But I'm thinking for any chance we need to win the next three.  Because I see no way this team wins a game seven on cle.

But hell, we may lose in five and not have to worry about a game seven.

kinda funny - after tonite's debacle, i think their best shot at this series is for it to go 7 - i could see Lebron and the Cavs tightening up in a game 7, especially at home, especially given their expectations this year.

meanwhile, tune in right now and see the nightmare the Spurs are going thru in the 4th quarter at home in a game they led throughout.
