The crowd needs to be cheering their butts off if they want any chance of a C's comeback.

This isn't the regular season they should not be booing.

I do agree with this. And I've been VERY hard on the team this season.

Wow.

You guys want to blame the fans for a team that is not defending. At all.

And not attacking offensively. At all.

And not rebounding. At all.

Please. That was an absolutely disgraceful display of inept basketball.

It ain't over 'til it's over ... but the boys are going to have to fight the fight of their lives in the second half to get this one back. It IS possible!

Shut up Crowd.

How is booing going to do anything.

Yeah the booing is stupid. The Celtics are playing hard. Cleveland is just delivering their perfect storm. All outside shots are falling and the best player in the NBA is having a berserk game.

Lets see what happens in the second half.

I question just how hard the Celts are playing. Cavs seemed to get just about every loose ball in that half.

Outside of Lebron going supernova, I see the 50-50 plays going 50-50. Lebron is really really really good. Sometimes no matter how hard you play, superstars go ballistic.

i am unhappy with the effort on defense...esp late in the half...just standing around allowing the cavs to waltz down the lane.

+1, Bo. I just made the same point at the bottom of the last page. Now it is the fans' fault that the Celtics forgot to play defense in the first half.

Cleveland has an offensive efficiency of 147.7 points per 100 possessions in that first half. Wow!

An eFG% of 64.1% and they are getting to the free throw line at an immense clip (17 FT attempts vs 39 FG attempts)

Also, seven offensive rebounds versus five defensive boards for the Celtics ... they're out-rebounding Boston on their own backboards.
I wonder on what percentage of possessions they scored.  Because it seems a lot of the times, even when they missed they scored on put backs.

The lack of defensive effort is embarrassing and absolutely unacceptable. Blaming this on the fans in the building is silly.

The effort is atrocious - at both ends of the floor. If it doesn't change, this could be a 40-point loss.

This kind of comment is not needed. Not remotely.

By the way, the Celtics offensive efficiency is 97.7 points per 100 possessions and they have an eFG% of 44% for anyone who is interested in Boston's numbers relative to Cleveland's.

Only 8 FTs vs 42 shot attempts + 5 offensive rebounds vs 18 defensive rebounds for the Cavs.

Cleveland out-rebounding Boston 25-10 in the first half.

  • Let's Go Celtics!
I covered the celtics at home all year and it isnt any different from what I am seeing tonight. Half the place is empty, a good 30% of the building is cheering when the cavs score, and overall a lack of support for the celtics other then booing because there not winning even though they are playing hard, not getting the calls, and had a terrible first quarter.

Me and several co-workers have stated that the celtics don't play like other teams at home because it's not like being at home this season. 0 Energy. We need more celticsblog.com people at game 4

Idk. I think a few celticsblog peeps would join in on the booing.

But interesting what you said about the Garden not feeling like home. The fans there do seem more ready to turn against them than ever these days...
