My work up for Game 3 - Celtics must build off their blueprint laid down in Games 1 and 2 in Cleveland. It will be a community effort to slow down Lebron and his legalized travels (now defined in Webster's Dictionary as the "LeCrab Dribble").

I am disturbed to hear that Joey Crawford and Bennett Salvatore are officiating tonights came. Those are the other two stooges in addition to Knick Bavetta.

Lord help us if they gang up in Cleveland, Orlando, or LA in the near future.

As far as keys to the game - limit Turnovers because they hurt our defense a lot. And FLCeltfan has cut and pasted this Defense, Defense theme 90 times (and counting). Two, keep Rondo going because without him, we cannot win this series (or any series for that matter). Three, get some production from the Sheed. Four, find a way to stop Hickson and make him a non-factor.
The beatings will continue until morale improves

Can it be 7 yet?  I'm so ready for this game...Cavs are gonna come out hard, and are gonna absolutely start blitzing us if they're down in the 2nd half.  This is the biggest game and biggest test of the year.

  • It's not hard to work hard.
I'm super nervous about this game. If Cleveland wins, they have the upper hand. If the Celts come out and make a statement in this game, they could break Cleveland's will.
McHale's favorite ruse is putting paper in the mouths of sleeping teammates. "Try using one of these cocktail napkins," he said. "When just the edge sticks out of a guy's mouth, it looks like he's got fangs. The best part is when he wakes up."

Quote from the Cavs board about tonight's refs

Quote
Good news... The league sent us Bennett Salvatore and Ken Mauer for Game 3 tonight:
We were a combined 11-0 with them calling our games during the regular season

David Stern knows he can't have the Cavs bounced in the second round

Salvatore called the game 4 beatdown in Chicago and Mauer/Zarba did the game 5 wrap up back home. Savlatore is the white knight of Cavs games, with the Cavs winning the 8 games he's called be an average of +14.9 points per game. After the loss last game with Dan Crawford calling the action, Salvatore and Mauer are two of only three refs to call at least 5 Cavs games, but never call a loss (Guthrie being the other).

Based on a sports betting forum I go to, with these refs the Cavs are 18-1 (OT loss to Memphis), Celtics are 5-8.

I don't know what I am going to do. Bruins and C's on at the same time?

Hopefully the Bruins can get up early and Rask can shut them down so I can worry less about that and focus on the C's.

Can we make it a Boston sweep tonight?

Blah... that info makes me want to vomit. If the C's play their game (good D, low turnovers) they should win nonetheless. Go Celtics!!

Go Celtics!

The reffing assignment is dubious and they both suck.

Is everyone ready for tonight's three hours of triumph followed by angst followed by triumph followed by angst, etc. etc.? Let's hope we all make it through safely.

Be nice to get out to a strong start, get Mike Brown angry, get Mo Williams stressed about another bad series, and get the garden crowd into it. And I'm still waiting for the hard foul on Lebron that says, "Go find yourself a second star and come see us next year."
