I don’t want to hear about it – Rasheed is still LAZY!

That was a good effort from Rasheed on the offensive end but still nowhere to be found on the defensive end.  His rotations are late, won’t jump to challenge anyone, won’t work for rebounds, and won’t go after reachable loose balls near him.

Rasheed has the Antoine Walker syndrome.  Make one from beyond the arc, and get the next 30 undeserving minutes on the floor for free.

We got lucky on closing this game.  In the final quarter, and during the Cavs comeback – initiated by our lack of energy and interest or inability to close the game - the correct sub was not Wallace for Perk, it should have been Glenn Davis for Perk….and at one point it felt like TA would have given you more than PP and or RA at around the 10 to 5 mins mark.

Anyways, this was a great victory on the road and I don’t want to spoil the moment….but this is just a CAUTION on a possible increase of RWallace minutes, and if you asked me, I would keep a very tight leash on Sheed.

Wallace was key last night on the offensive end. His defense is still mediocre at best, I agree.

But we desperately need the points.

Yet, too many people on this board consider one game plenty of a sample size to prove improvement, Tony Allen Syndrome. The "I love him so much that any improvement is proof he's turned the corner" misconception.

It isn't. Not even close. Sheed needs to bring more EVERY night in the playoffs. One night doesn't prove a thing.

Agree with the above.  One game doesn't change anything.  If his shots went in at the usual rate, nobody would be saying "good game".

The guy gave us 17 points, put up some rebounds and played great defense. What else do you want him to do? Backflips and acrobatics in the air?

bet let's remember what he is. he is a 7th man, albeit a high profile, probably overpaid one. if he can play some good offense, hit some shots, be the good passer from down low that he can be, draw some fouls, we can live with mediocre defense.

this is not supposed to be a star or the key to the game. he was not signed to be that. he was signed to be a key bench player. i have been more critical of him than anyone, but we will take what he gave us in game two every night of the week. still fumbles some rebounds, and is lazy on defense, but do not discount what he gave us last night.

If he had given us just a little more offense in that 1st game we could easily be up 2-0.

Yesterday he scored 17 pts., in the previous 6 playoff games he had 21 pts combined.

Despite what seemed to be a solid effort last night, Rasheed was still a -2 in the game.

The only player somehow in the negative after a 20 point win.

Sometimes plus minus is misleading. He kept us in front when the Big 3 were on the bench in the first half. Use the eye test in this situation. He had a great offensive game at a time when we really needed his scoring.

Of course I agree that one game doesnt mean he will play the rest of the games like this. However I havent seen alot of over reacting here. Most people asre tempering their enthusiasm while being encouraged at the same time.

Hey anything out of Sheed is cause for applause at this point.

Yes it does, we won this game.

He won't be shooting above 80% consistently, but if he can come through with a couple of big games it'll be worth it.

no one is denying he has been bad in the playoffs and for most of the year. you have to give him credit for last night.

Yes, Rasheed has, in general, sucked in Boston.  However, there's no need to be revisionist the day after a big win.  He played well last night.  His team may have gotten outscored while he was on the floor, but that's because he was being put out there with lineups with only one starter.

Rasheed was a key early on last night.  If he didn't get hot in the first half, we probably would have went into halftime trailing.

As for his defense, I think it was somewhere in between "great" and "poor".  It wasn't KG-like, but Rasheed did hustle for some rebounds, and overall played solid.

give credit where it is due.  he had his best game of the year when we really needed it.  root for the front of the jersey, not the back of it.

I give him a lot of credit for his offensive performance, as I don't think we win yesterday without him giving us a spark offensively. At this stage in his career, he's never going to be a rebounding or defensive presence. We just have to live with that fact for the next two years. That said, if he isn't giving us offense what exactly does he provide? Doc should use him accordingly. If he's hot you ride his hand, but if he's having an off-night then you should give Sheldon Williams a shot. Maybe not vs. Shaq, but Williams' energy and rebounding would be a better stylistical counter vs. hustling and athletic bigs such a Varejao or Hickson.

no one on here is more anti sheed than me. but we cannot expect him to be a, in mlb terms, a 5 tool player. if he can come in, grab a few boards, hit some shots, and be the good low post presence he can be, then we should be happy with it. last night, i was pleasantly surprised. but yes, the great shooting does not take away from his other shortcomings. but if he can simply do a few things to help the team win, like last night, you will never hear a bad word from me
