Very good. I'd like to see Shelden with Baby, and with KG.

With Perk you need either KG or Baby as well to offset his plodder style game. Shelden and Perk have similar games...speed and coordination wise, so you put some guys that are fleet of foot and have more well rounded games next to them, that's all.

Wow - I got modified to "peeved". I didn't think my offending term was... offending.

I do kinda like how it automatically changes things.

"In the discussion" seems very vague to me. I don't get the sense from this that Sheldon will actually make it into the rotation.
Tommy: He's got a line about me. Tell him the line.

Mike: Everybody 60 or over knows Tommy as a player. Everybody 40 or over knows Tommy as a coach. Everybody 20 or over knows Tommy as a broadcaster. And everybody 10 or under thinks he's Shrek.

  • You know my methods, Watson.
The NBA playoffs are when new heroes are found...

Put Sheldon in the game and see what happens!!  Oftentimes a player finds a role and has the ability to play above himself - the celtics have had this happen in the past (Eddie Pinckney did this in the early 90's, for example).

Doc has got to cut out the dog-house crap and give Sheldon another chance.  Put 'Sheed on the bench and send a CLEAR message...

My opinion is that this is the LAST season as this team is currently constituted...you've got to pull out all the stops because moments like this don't always happen.  This Celtics team is NOT an inferior team to the Cavs...but unless someone steps up and plays heroic this thing will go down in flames...  Sheldon could be that guy.

TP And Jick. Reason? You nailed my sentiment on the head with the comment "Put Shelden in the game and see what happens!!!

My biggest problem with Doc is that he decides on something and simply won't deviate form it, regardless of the outcome.

It would be one thign if Shelden absolutely stunk it up every time he's been in the game.

However, as far as I've seen, whenever Shelden gets minutes since he's been with us, he's generally been a net positive, not a net negative. So...why not put him in and see what happens.

He goes after the boards and works hard defensively, a good match up for Varejo.

Also, I liked it when he slammed Mo earlier in the season, we could use ALOT MORE OF THAT, from someone on our team in this series.

  • You say when......
Sheldon (Shelden) is a rebound hound, always underneath when the ball is up in the air...sheed is out at the 3 point line....wondering what drink he'll have after the game......I think Shelden will come up big if they work him in...and treat him like one of the team....I have seen when they look him down...as in, He is on the block, open, and someone like finley just looks away for someone else...I hate that...!
