As obvious as this might sound to even my 3 year old nephew, I genuinely believe that whether or not we advance to the conference finals boils down to whether or not we come back to Boston with one in the bag.

On both teams, the stars will be stars and the games will be close. In my opinion, it will all come down to which role players did more of what doesn't show up on the stats sheet.

Im nervous, I'm excited and I'm just about ready to see the "experts" scratch their heads in discombobulation.

  • Rondo = Good
Winning Game 1 or 2 is hugely important.  In my opinion, the Celtics are NOT going to win Game 7 in Cleveland.  They have to finish this series in 6 games, and the best way to accomplish that is to win one of the first two and then defend home court.  Otherwise they'll have to win Game 5 in Cleveland.
Never forget the Champs of '08, or the gutsy warriors of '10.

Well, I can tell you one thing if we do LOSE. Be prepared for "the sky is falling" threads.

I dont want to hear it/read it. Lets go out and steal homecourt in game one.

Game 1 is more important than game 2. If we win in game 1 we will send a message to tha Cavs that they are not better than us.
And i am 90% sure that tonight Celtics will WIN. The key to win is defense and tonight doesn't matter if lebron score 30. this series can be same as miami series. i know Cavs are better than Heat but Wade was great and we coudn't guard him but we played great  defense and we stoped the other guys. so we can't guard lebron but lebron will not win this series alone. stop jamison stop varejao stop williams and it's over. Go Celtics!!!

Completely disagree. We need one of two, and it really matters not which one.

Most importantly, we need to establish that we're going to have ball movement on the offensive end and that we're going to hunker down and defend - on EVERY possession. Run multiple defenders at LeHGH, to give him a different look.

I think either one will do wonders. But, you're right. Game 1 might be better to screw up the Cavs' confidence.

Let's win game 1 and game 2.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale
