Pretty much a no-brainer.

He effects the game on every level, put up monster numbers (approached a triple double on average) and his team had a great regular season. That and he's the best player in the league by a pretty fair margin.

Now let's beat him.

I was pretty sure Stern would give it to Bennet Salvatore or Joey Crawford along with a nice Hallmark card that said "We're sorry for all you have to put up with"

but that said I do believe LBJ made the most Nike commercials this year, right?

Based upon past criteria, I would have voted Kevin Durant as MVP.

Except that past criteria (Except in Nash's case, but that was a mob mentality media nightmare) usually demonstrates that you win the MVP after a few years of being in the discussion, not your breakout year into the discussion.

just curious, what's the difference between the past criteria and the current criteria? I didn't even know they had changed anything.

Not surprised, but after watching round one I don't think James deserves it.  I don't think there is a player who is more indispensable for their team to succeed than Dwayne Wade.  47 wins?!?!?!  How did he lead that Miami team to 47 wins?!

Wade is the true MVP in my opinion.

This will only soften Lebron's ferocity.  Fine by me.

oh, there is no "criteria," we're talking about just past voting trends/things and accomplishments that have gotten people MVP votes in the past.

Nash's two MVP's were basically flukes.

The best player who had the best season should win the MVP.

Team wins don't matter, sorry Durrant.
