jamison is their next best player, but for some reason I'm not sure I could explain I went with Delonte

I almost went with D.West myself because he can get his own shot, and is probably their second best one on one defenfer.D.West has grown into a decent all around player. He does a lot of little things that don't show up in the boxscores.tp

Varejevo is very annoying, I am dubbing him "Little Lord Fauntleroy Junior" in honor of what Johnny Most called Rickey Mahorn of the Pistons back in the 80s (Look for that in future call ins to CSL).

But I am very concerned about what Hickson can bring to the table. He is their "Glen Davis" and can cause real problems with his defense, shot blocking and offensize rebounding. Think of him as a faster, taller version of Glen Davis. Without Hickson, we would have to work against Leon Powe. That is depressing.

I don't think I saw Jamario Moons name up there but him and Anthony Parker could be a matchup problem for our benches (2 and 3 spots) and both can defend a tired Paul Pierce and Ray Allen.
The beatings will continue until morale improves

Delonte West was third on my list (behind Varejao + Hickson).

He is their best non-LeBron defender against both Ray and Rondo. Against Ray for his man-to-man defense and against Rondo because of his ability to play aggressive team defense off of Rondo's lack of jump shot (which Mo Williams doesn't do well).

Then, offensively, Delonte is a sharp shooter, a decent slasher/ball-handler/passer and has been very good in big pressure moments. An excellent complementary threat.

I think I would have Mo Williams fourth + Jamison fifth.

Had to go with Delonte. I swear KG is in Jamison's head. He has put up numbers under 37% since KG has come to Boston, including this year. Varejao is extremely scary as well, but I hope we only see Baby on him. I feel confident with Baby boxing him out for some reason. Feel like he dominated Rasheed only this year.

Delonte(and Varejao) can dominate a game for stretches on either end of the floor. I'm especially terrified of guys like this. he's gonna have some stretches where he takes a charge, hits a 3 and then blocks a shot in a 20 second span. Would still love him on the C's for his on court abilities.  ;)

I voted for Mo Williams because he can be streaky with the 3.

I voted Sideshow.

When that Clown comes into the game, he can just pick his nose and the crowd goes wild.

Don't get me wrong - he's one of those players that you love to dislike, but would love him on your team.

We must find a way to limit his production.

Interesting that given the amount of hoopla TNT and NBA give the Cavs and the huge difference in the team this year due to the Shaq and Jamison upgrades, that not one person who took this survey chose Shaquille O'Neal.

TPs to everyone in this thread for being astute, intelligent and observant basketball fans and for seeing through the misinformation that is TNT and ESPN selling the game by pushing big "name" players, even when they no longer impact the game nearly as much as they once did,

  • KG is da Man
I have to say this player named James. lol ;D

But seriously, Verajao, he's such an energy guy, everyone on our team NEEDS to step up to match his effort. If 'Sheed plays Verajao, then we are doomed (in that match-up anyway) unless Sheed somehow turns back the clock.

Otherwise I'm scared of Jamison's shooting and ability to stretch the floor, and as a result KG might not be able to help off him as much.
Anything is possible!!!

Well, if we had chosen Shaq, we would really be choosing the refs, and that's already being taken into consideration.

If Shaq gets the calls like he did in the fourth quarter of Game 5 of their first round series we will lose in five as well.

We'd have to have KG/Scal on him....

Gotta go with Varejao. People are scared of 20 points from Jamison? Fine. But Varejao's a walking double-double off the bench. We don't need to see that much impact from the Cavs bench.  >:(

If we do, we probably have no chance.
