It looks like everybody forgot Erden. Does Danny think about signing Erden? Some year? I think he is interesting player a Varejao type of a player. Erden is 6'11 he can run he is aggressive and he is excelent rebounder. Danny should consider signing him. If Sheed get traded because the Celtics do not need him and they are playing almost 6mil per year maybe Erden should became a Celtic. I believe he can be a great role player. Here are the stats from the Euroleague 09-10

2009-2010 STATS
PPG: 6.2
RPG: 5.4
APG: 0.8
SPG: 0.5
2P%: 47.6%
FT%: 57.9%

And here are stats from Turkish league:

Fenerbahce Ulker Istanbul
gm:29
min:21.0
ppg:8.4
2p%:63.8%
ft%:55.2%
rpg:5.5
apg:0.9
bpg:0.7
spg:0.8

So what do you guys think?

Everybody deserves a chance. If he doesn't get opportunity to prove him self how could we know if he can make in the nba or not?

I don't think putting up 8ppg, 5rpg in the Turkish league is NBA material. Project or not.

Plus, many players in the Turkish league usually have high stats because of the offensive orientation of the league. He's not even Euroleague material yet, so I wouldn't count on seeing him here anytime soon.

Shelden Williams compared to Semih Erden is like comparing LeBron to Gerald Green.

I wouldn't go that far.  Shelden isn't anything special.

  • You know my methods, Watson.
He wouldn't make it in the D-League...

sorry, but the stats above do not impress me in the least. poor numbers in a poor league.

while i wish he was a fabulous prospect and a brilliant draft by danny...i just dont see it in the numbers.

so far, he looks be just one more tall stiff.

Almost impossible to find a good player in the 60 pick.

As this team starts to rebuild, either next year or in 2011, they'll be looking to fill the end of the roster with players who are as cheap as they can find.  If Erden has any chance of even being a fringe NBA player, they'll invite him to camp.  Maybe not next season, but the season after.  Wouldn't hold my breath.
