Well, boo hoo, the blogo-sphere doesn't like KG anymore. Taking inspiration from his lordship, Kelly Dwyer, I would like to compile my own list of super-villains. I've classified them into two groups: guys I hate but wouldn't mind to see on the Celtics, and guys I hate but would not want to see in green. Who's on your list?

Hate 'em, don't want 'em:

Kobe: dirty, on and off the court
Pau Gasol: mr. softee, cries too much
Jamaal Mcgloire: dirty dirty player
Quentin Richardson: oh my god i hate this guy, always have
Jermaine O'Neal: another chronic underachiever cry baby
Calderon: overrated cry baby
Odom: slightly dirty, always underachieving
Vujacic: useless, cry baby flopper
Brad Miller: dirty and washed up
Boobie Gibson
Mo Williams: punk, overrated
Brandon Jennings: punk, overrated
Mike Bibby

Hate 'em, wouldn't mind having them:

Fisher
Turiaf
Noah: Pain in the ass, usually in a good way if you're a bull's fan
LeBron
Stephen Jackson
Dwight Howard: Dirty player
Varejao: Flopper, but plays hard
Jeff Foster
Bogut: skilled punk
Trevor Ariza: hates the celtics
Ginobli

Why Kirilenko?

Among other reasons:

I think he's whiny and soft.  He cried after a playoff game -- not because his team lost, but because he didn't play enough minutes.  Deron Williams said he was always the first player out of the gym, but always complained about the number of shots he was getting in the offense.  His coach has notoriously had a number of problems with him, and his owner has tried to get rid of him, to no avail.  Lastly, his performance went down precipitously after getting a big contract.

AK is a good defender, when his head is in the game.  Unfortunately, it often isn't, and yet that doesn't stop from him to whining to the media about how badly he has it.

I hate Joakim Noah. I absolutely loved him in college (as i am a Gators fan), but ever since he has entered the league he has done nothing but bother me. As much as I hate Lebron I loved the 3 he drained in Noah's eye last night. He just sounds ignorant in his interviews, and he is a punk on the court. My #1 most hated NBA player

Yeah I dislike Noah as well. Seemed as if his comments about KG a few days ago just came out of nowhere. I guess there is some angst from when we beat CHI last year, without KG.

Just get in line, Noah. ATL hates us, CHI hates us, and MIA will after about a week or so.

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
LeBron, Kobe, Mike Bibby, Mo Williams, All of the Hawks really, eventhough I'm sure Joe Johnson and Al Horford are great players.

I don't like his politics.  For instance, this quote:

Quote
Why does the NBA, an almost 80 percent African-American league, constantly uses terms that reference slavery? Why are the CEO’s of the teams called owners? Why do they use the term “property” of a certain team when referring to a player’s employment? Why is the term trading block utilized? Why all the references to slavery, and why hasn’t anyone up until this point objected to this?

It seems like he's trying a little too hard to stir up controversy.  People who see racism in every situation generally rub me the wrong way.  Athletes who have made tens of millions of dollars playing a game that compare that game to slavery definitely do.

  • Rondo = Good
Players / Coaches I can't stand:

LeBron
Kobe
Ron Artest
Anderson Varejao
Mo Williams
Don Nelson
Mike Brown

Players / Coaches who I more or less detest:

Mike D'Antoni
Sasha Vujacic
Derek Fisher
Zach Randolph
Joakim Noah
Brad Miller
Monta Ellis
Zaza Pachulia
Mike Bibby
J.R. Smith
Kenyon Martin
Quentin Richardson
Kurt Thomas
Andray Blatche
Tracy McGrady
Jamal Crawford
Mikki Moore
Stephon Marbury
Andrea Bargnani

I don't have a particular reason to dislike most of those in the second list; it's just a feel thing.

I agree with you on the guys on the Celtics i could pass on is TA & Nate but i think i might add Sheed to the list and its not anything from this season, just never cared that much for his ways before he became a Celtic.

reggie35 why do you hate Brandon Jennings.  He is pretty darn good.  34 points in his playoff debut!

And I would love him on the C's had we not had Rondo.

Yeah, after everything this year I'm leaning towards adding Sheed to my "more or less detest" list.  Still, if he has a big game for us sometime in the playoffs I might just like him again.

He may turn out to be pretty good, but he seems like a punk and a me first player (think Iverson). We'll see I guess...
