I like LeBron.  He's the best player in the NBA.  I'm rooting for the Cavs once the Celtics get eliminated.  They are the only chance we have of Kobe losing.  The Cavs winning solves a couple things... #1 - LeBron is rightfully considered the greatest player in the NBA and will be well on his legacy of dominance... and #2 - Shaq gets another ring to rub in Kobe's face.

Pretty much anything that craps on Kobe and the Lakers... i'm all for.

Go Cavs

This is closest to reflecting my views.

I don't hate the Cavs at all.  No visceral response to Lebron or the Cavs - heck, I don't even hate Shaq anymore (and boy did I hate him when he opted for the Lakers over the Magic).  Indifference to the Cavs.  But the Lakers...

I hate to admit it because it is so petty and useless to feel this way, but I think I hate the Lakers as much as I love the Celtics. There I said it.  It actually would scare me a little (have to admit it) for the C's to beat the Cavs since I see the Cavs as the best shot to beat the Lakers.  I will root like crazy for the C's and be ecstatic if they take out the Cavs, but if, in the end, it gets the Lakers another title, ughh... I can't bear it.

I'm with you regarding everything except the underlined part.  If the Celts beat the Cavs, they'll beat the Lakers, too.

After watching this game tonight, I think there might be a little blood in the water. The cavs do not look so scary and seem vulnerable to me. I'll admit some of this comes from my absolute hate of the cavs and leroid, but they are having trouble with a team that barely made it into the playoffs. I'm willing to bet that Orlando or Boston will knock them out and rob Darth Stern of his wet deam once more.

Another thing I learned tonight is that it's ok if you elbow a guy in the head to get position. But your name has to be Shaq and you have to play for the cavs. This league disgusts me. >:(

Wow.....there are a lot of excuses in this thread.  The Bulls were 6 games over 500 before Noah and Rose went down and then went 8-2 once both of them came back.

Maybe you should focus on Boston's vulnerability and worry about the Miami match up before you start claiming that Boston will beat the Cavs in the second round huh?

Excuses? Really? Wow a whole six games over mediocrity, that screams NBA elite and shows us that they should be giving the cavs a run ::) If I were a Cleveland fan I would be a little worried. Seems like history might just repeat itself once again. Your a #1 seed thats clawing for a win againts the bulls who had lost ten in a row not too long ago.

Boston may or may not beat cleveland, but I am certain Cleveland isn't going to go to the finals, which is a good thing because it will save them the humiliation.

So let me get this straight...the Cavs won when the Bulls played an excellent game and I should be worried?  The Bulls put their best foot forward tonight and the Cavs beat them.  Worried?  Makes sense.

You're certain they wont make the finals huh?  I guess time will tell.  I swear, there are so many intelligent fans on this site and it's ruined by people with blind hatred

Why I hate the Lakers ...

  • Jack Nicholson, 'nough said
  • The fact that Kareem didn't play for Boston and him and Cooper are my favorite Lakers

The Cavs are flawed. All the contenders this year have weaknesses. They should all be worried.

None of them come close to the Shaq Lakers, the Duncan in his prime Spurs or never mind the Bulls before that.

Which flaws should have them worried?  Honestly.  Not trying to be a punk, actually just want to chat

Good Points!

I liked Cooper's Game..he was on a very short list of players that could slow Bird down...a very short list.

Still dislike the Cavs, but for the Bulls I'll add Joakim "I'll throw fuel on the KG fire" Noah.

I like Noah's game, but what in the World makes Noah believe he can just arbitrarily call KG a dirty player when he hasn't even played with KG? Doesn't know KG?

The Bum ;D.

He needs to concentrate on Shaqtus instead of KG.

Their biggest flaw was drafting Lebron James. Franchise has lost $money$ since drafting him. The Franchise is going bankrupt. Failure is Lebron's last name.

. . . your team has routinely racked up a ton of regular season wins   only to fall short each year  with whom your team  touts as the greatest thing since sliced bread (which was pretty good I must admit)     Your team is all smoke  no fire    if they handed out championships for regular season performances,   creative dances in pregame and in game,   and flashy  unsportsmanlike dunks during blowouts     then your team would be champions...but they dont, championships are earned from hardcore defense which isnt YOUR team's forte. So if you want a flaw,  there you go. . . .   I've always felt the Celtics have an advantage over the Cavs because the Celts play TEAM basketball,  no  one player is above the rest.  Cant say the same about Cleveland.  While that gets them wins in the regular season, its team basketball  that gets you to June. Remember that team mentality when your God ditches you all for New York this summer

This is So Hilarious...Man if Lebron Lames leaves CLE, they will be left with:

A 35 year old Jamison. And a 38 or 39 year old Shaq. Wow ;D

We have a thread here on CelticsBlog about our window being closed, but Man CLE's window is certainly looking airtight about now, lol........it has a tiny little crack in it, though.

I am from Ohio as well and I hate Lebron and the Cavs more than the Lakers.  Lebron is the biggest baby in the NBA.  He cries more than Pierce and come on we all know that is impressive.

I still can't get over last year when he threw a fit and refused to shake hands with the Magic after the loss in the Conference Finals.  He then gets "Dunked on" by Jordan Crawford of Xavier and steals a kid's camera so it doesn't get on You-Tube.  Noah sucks too!
