Looks like Q just made himself the modern day Bill Laimbeer with his comments after the game. Whether you agree with his comments about Pierce's "injury" or not, he will get a nice warm reception from the hometown fans on Tuesday.

I think this whole thing backfires on him. I don't see any way the Celtics lose this game on Tuesday (or the series) after comments like this. Great job waking the sleeping giant there, Q. You might be just what this team needed.

Agreed...  "Stale Ale" (Peter Vescey anyone?) is in a category unto himself...

I do agree with both of you. I only meant that he will be treated much the same way old Bill was on Tuesday. Cant' wait for the game. Any predictions on the game? How many does PP get? Will this be a blowout or a grinder?

Or the talent level. And McNasty (Or was it McFilthy, lol) was a much better competitor than Q.

Agreed.

Q. Rich is a bigger talker though, Laimbeer had a lot more game.

I could never hate this chump as much as Laimbeer. That said I do miss him. Or I should say I miss that kind of rivalry. The NBA is so soft and weak now that a real rivalry's like that can never happen again.

I'm actually a fan of Bill Laimbeer.  I just love nasty, physical basketball, but then, if I were a player, I'd foul out under "no blood no foul" playground rules.

On the other hand, Quentin Richardson is a whiny punk who I want to see elbowed in the face by a solid, dirty player. I'd rather have a big man who consistently leads the league in flagrant fouls at a record-setting pace sitting on the bench than Rasheed Wallace's T-magnet verbal act.  I know some people will disagree, but that's what I want.  I'm not kidding when I say I would mind someone going Kermit Washington on Richardson.  If it were legal to do so (and I could afford to), I put a bounty on the guy.

Laimbeer at least had the cajones to be completely open and vocal about his animosity, and I've got a great deal more respect for that than I do for Q's thuginess and web-weaving.
