Excellent article. It was interesting reading as KG tried to explain his rebounding decline.  Poor guy is still in denial a little bit.

Still think KG has to make the switch to the 5 to prolong his career.  The paucity of scoring 5s would allow KG to focus much more on team D than man defense.

Nice article...

I know KG has the drive, but sometimes when you're body says 'enough is enough' you have to come to that realization.  Personally, I believe he's done.

The Darrell Walker quote was the one that hit the hardest: KG will still have those moments, but they won't happen each night.

I remember watching Larry and even Kevin come to that point in their careers...it's a sad thing to watch a great one become average.

Nice article by Jackie McMullan and good Post, Drucci.

I really respect KG's heart and what he brings to this team. I found it interesting that it takes a year to fully recover from the type of injury he had, if I read the article correctly.

This means that he will be 100% by next season? And it also means that he has been the Walking Wounded all year.

Wow.

I'm truly looking forward to Great things this post-season, from KG and the rest of our team.

Jackie McMullan is def one of my fave sports analysts/writers.

I think a lot of writers go into interviews thinking "this is my topic. I need to get facts to support this topic."

But Jackie's philosphy is clearly, "I'm just gonna go into the interview with an open mind and let the topic present itself. No need to force it."

She doesn't conform to pre-conceptions about the subject she discusses - a nice piece on KG. Esp the part where he admits that he didn't really believe the medical staff when they told him it would take a year to fully recover. This year must've been frustrating for him in every possible way. Really insightful piece.
