TP for the article Drucci!

And TP Bahku for this beautiful reply!

Great article, Drucci ... TP for sharing.

And to KG: We're with you, Big Guy, all the way ... we have faith in you and are behind you 100%. Don't listen to the doubters, they'll always be there and always have been, and you know how to prove them wrong ... we know you can and will. The rest of us will lift you high and give you the emotional support you need to beat this. You're the Big Ticket, and we believe in all that means, and know you'll give us all you have. Close your ears to the nay-sayers, and keep your eyes on the prize ... we'll be right behind you!

LETS GO CELTICS!

I feel a little guilty for being part of a fan base that questions and harangues KG. He's like a wounded animal thrashing around on the court, putting forth effort to a degree that no one this blog could ever sustain. I would be angry too if I was pushing myself to an insane degree and everyone kept shaking their head about my team's effort. I would take that personally.
Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

This is why I didn't feel any anger towards him when he made those comments about the booing. In a league with so many Vince Carters and Gilbert Arenas-types, having this guy Pierce, and Allen as our stars is pretty much a privilege.

I'd also like to say that his Defensive Rebound % is the same that it was in the championship year and I respect that. I know it can't be easy.

I don't think anyone was booing for the lack of KG's effort.

Is this to give us hope that next year, KG will be healthier?  (the one year rehab)

Great Article. Jackie is the very best. I wish she would do more.

And I agree with you about KG's reaction to the booing. KG operates in his own crazy (in a good way) bubble, and he is fighting like heck through his injury, and can't understand the effort comments and the booing.

Hands down the best article on a Celtic this year.....Gotta love KG.....hopefully, it'll shut up some of the nay-sayers and "its over" type of posters. You go big fella....show the league what you can do once you are 100%....and yea, the boo birds can migrate down south.

Don't you do that to me, monk!  Celtics fans may come south, but they are still Celtics fans...and we already have our share of boo birds!  Don't you know that this is the time of year when snowbirds head North?  I am told that too much optimism is hard to take, too (although I don't know why anyone would tell ME that...as I consider myself to be a "realist"!)  ;D

Maybe you can give them a crash course in optimism, T'boots.....I'm sure you'll make an excellent teacher. ;D

if it is, it may be false advertising. no doubt KG will be healthy in terms of his knee. but the knee and the rest will be one year older with another year of pounding and playing.

KG will be a superior player, but not the KG of  a few years ago. if ainge decides to go one more year with the big 3 as the engines to bring a championship, then ainge MUST pick up another front court player who can log serious miniutes and take pressure off of KG.

Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Me too. It's  a crime that a competitor like him was stuck in Minnesota's wilderness for so long.

Jackie MacMullen is great.

I love KG.  He's amazing.  I really hope he has some monster games for us this post-season.  I want more than anything to see him return to at least 80% of his old form.

in terms of ainge getting KG earlier...yeah, that was never going to happen. we had to trade half the [dang] team to get him when we did. to get KG any earlier would have required pierce and several #1 draft picks.
this was the best celtics article all year, by far. it gives me optimism for next year, though who knows, if we play all-out, we can win it all this year, too. he'll be a year older, but i do think his knee will be 100% by then. he'll also have an entire offseason to work on fundamentals. KG never learned to box out properly, because he was so athletically gifted, so that's something he'll undoubtedly work on. i also expect him to get the pick and pop down even more.

Gotta love KG's attitude and will but unfortunately that only gets you so far in the NBA.  It's a shame the bulk of his career was spent in Minny.  He may be 18 months removed from surgery when next year starts but he also will be 18 months older.
